210: Katherine's Ultimate Revenge on Jill!

The Chancellor Mansion

Mac continues with Katherine’s will reading.

Mac: Ok and Now Victor.

Jack: This ought to be good. I was waiting for this.

Jill is still sitting being the last one left and she has an uneasy feeling come about her.

Victor grabs his envelope and gives Mac a hug.

Victor: Brock was a good man and if you need anything Mac you let me know.

Mac: Thank you Mr. Newman.

Victor opens his envelope and he muses over it.

Jack: What did the old lady leave you mustache?

Victor looks up at Jack and smiles. He folds the paper up and puts it inside his jacket pocket.  He walks over towards Jack. Sergio the Body Guard stands up in front on Jack.

Victor waves his  hand signaling he means no harm.

Victor: Jackie my boy, I am going to take you out. I now have what I need to begin the process to crush you. You will pay for stealing my company, my home and even my damned horses.

Jack: You must have gotten something worthy then.

Victor: You bet I do. The tools I need to best you yet again.

Jack: Well you better do it soon. I’m selling off Newman assets at a discount you would only find at a flea market maybe.

Hearing that enrages Victor.

Victor: You sell my company Jack ass I assure it will be the last thing you do.

Jack: Is that a threat? Sergio is a witness here.

Victor: I always get what I want and I always win. I’m down but not out. The chips are down Jackie boy but I’ll be like a raging bull charging after you. You’ve backed me into a corner and no man will do that to me. I’m going to show what Newman is all about. That is all.

Victor then walks out.

Sergio: Did he say, “that was all” like we were in a meeting?

Jack: Who cares what he said it’s about what he’s going to do. I have no idea what Katherine left the mustache in the will.

Sergio: Are you nervous sir?

Jack: To tell you the truth, I am. There’s no telling what the old man will do when backed into a corner. I’ve never won a battle between us.

Jack is about to leave but sees Jill still seated. Jack sees tears in her eyes. He goes over to sit by her.

Jack: Hey are you ok?

Jill: I’m just nervous Jack.

He puts her arm around her.

Mac: Finally, Jill. Katherine says here that she saved the best for last.

Jill: Oh god what does that mean?

Jill gets up and grabs here envelope. She tears it open and reads it. At first, she smiles then as she keeps reading she enters a state of shock.

Jill: No. NO..NO!!

Jill explodes into tears and drops to the floor. Mac and Jack immediately console her.

Jill: No!

 She says through her storms of tears.

                “Why would she do this to me?”

Jack looks at Mac and Mac give him an “I ‘don’t know look”.

Jill just keeps repeating the words “No” and WHY!” as she continues to have her break down.

Jill continues to have a break down as Jack and Mac console her.

Mac: Jill I am so sorry.

Jack: Jill what’s the matter, what did Katherine do?

Jill: Oh, that bitch!

Mac: Jill this is not the time. We need to get you cleaned up and over to Chancellor.

Jill: Like hell it’s not a good time.

She says pulling herself together and standing up.

Jill: My whole life has been turned upside down. What I thought was isn’t and what isn’t is.

Jack: Spit it out Jill, we don’t have time for these riddles.

Mac: This is not the time we have to get to Chancellor.

Jill: And you think after learning this, after what your grandmother did to me I would still work at Chancellor.

Mac: Why yes. Your son and grandson will need help.

Jill: So my Phillip is going to take over Chancellor?

Mac: We just need to get over to Chancellor right away.

Mac rushes Jill out the door as Jack is left standing there wondering what Kay has done to Jill and furthermore who is going to run Chancellor.

Jack: Let’s go Sergio. We’ll just wait at Abbott tower for any business news coming across the wires.

Sergio: Yes sir.

Sergio escort them out of Kay’s now empty house.

That is until Miss Rue shows up.

Miss Rue: Wow look at this place. I had no idea that my Phillip was so well off. And now I’m about to be too.

She walks upstairs to try and find Phillips room.

Devon driving his Lincoln MKZ with Abby are on the freeway headed towards downtown.

Abby: You haven’t said a word since we left Devon. Where are we going?

Devon: I’m sorry my mind is racing right now. I don’t know where to begin.

Abby: Ok what is our next move?

Devon: We are headed to Chancellor to form the new board of directors.

Abby: We?

Devon: I got a seat on the board at Chancellor and there is a meeting going to take place in 20 minutes. At this meeting, I will find out who’s going to take the CEO and CO-CEO positions at Chancellor then there will be a meeting of the company board. I’m gonna find out who else is on the board I guess.

Abby: Kind of exciting. I wonder who will be what position.

Devon: It is exciting. I have other things on my mind too. When this is done we need to talk.

Abby: It sounds serious. We are not about to break up are we?

Devon looks at her and smiles.

Devon: Nothing like that. Just some life changing  decisions we need to make as a couple.

Abby smiles.

Abby: As a couple. It feels good hearing you say that.

She leans over and gives him a peck on the cheek as he pulls into the Chancellor Building parking garage.

Meanwhile,

Jill is riding with Mac.

Jill is wiping tears.

Mac: I’m so sorry grandma did this to you.

Jill: Oh, I’m not blaming you Mackenzie. This is between your grandmother and I. The ultimate revenge. And to top it off she wants me to work at Chancellor.  An extra slap in the face.

Mac: She wants you to do it for your son Phillip. She wants you to groom him to take over.

Jill: Well I won’t argue with that. This could be good for Phillip.

Mac: Good then, I want us to form a united front against Victor.

Jill: Victor? He’s going to be part of Chancellor too?

Mac: Unfortunately yes and I don’t trust him the way my grandma did.

Jill: This is become very interesting then. Who else is going to be here at this meeting.

Mac: I can’t say you will learn it all when we enter the board room.

Jill: Phillip as CEO. My son, the son Katherine never gave Phillip the 2^nd will be CEO. I think that’s sweet revenge in itself for what Katherine has done to me that old crow.

Jill pulls down the sun visor for a mirror so she can fix her make up from the tears that ran it all away.

Mac pulls into the Chancellor parking garage.

Abby takes a seat outside the boardroom browsing the net on her phone as Devon sits on the inside wondering who else is going to join them. Then in walks Mac with Jill.

Mac: Thank you for being here Devon.

Devon: I’ll do whatever my grandma wants me to do.

Mac: Ok Jill just have a seat and we will begin as the others arrive.

Jill takes a seat next to Devon.

Jill: I guess you’re going to be working here at Chancellor too?

Devon: I don’t know it seems that way.

Then in walks  Nikki who has a hard time walking without Chase as she is drunk. She stumbles.

Nikki: Oh my these shoes. Pardon me.

Jill: More like your drunk and please tell me you’re not here to work.

Nikki: You need a man Jill. Always so sour aren’t we?

Jill: We won’t be working here together. How’s that for sour.

Nikki: Whatever Jill.

Nikki literally falls into a chair and then begins to laugh.

Nikki: I’m getting old.

Chase: It’s ok madam. It’s been a long day for you.

Jill: Give me a break.
Chase: I’ll be right outside.

Nikki: Thank you Chase.

Chase leaves the board room.

Jill: I know this drunk is not going to be working here too Mac? Tell me Katherine did not do that.

Mac: Just be patient Jill.

Nikki pops a breath mint in her mouth.

Nikki: Yes Jill patience.

Then walks in Phillip with Chance.

Phillip: Mom you’re here to?

Jill: I am son. I’ll be helping you.

Phillip: I already don’t like how that sounds.

Phillip takes a seat and then wipes the sweat from his forehead.

Phillip: Damn is the air conditioning working in here or what it’s hot in here.

Nikki: It is a bit warm.

Jill: When you drink Nikki it makes you warm. Phillip maybe you may be coming down with something.

Phillip: Ok mom thanks.

Chance looks at his dad and how he is sweating. He thinks about if his dad is back to his homosexual ways and if he is doing anything else like drugs. He’s never seen Phillip sweat like this.

Chance looks at Devon.

Chance: It’s good to see you here Devon. I won’t be the only young blood on this team I guess.

Devon: Yea I have no idea what’s going to happen next other than I was summoned to be here.

Chance: Yea same here.

Then Victor walks in. Everyone stops and look at him.

Jill: This room has gotten so much darker. Not you too Victor?

Victor: Hello Jill. Hello everyone. It’s good to see everyone. I was summoned here by the will.

Jill: I already know where this is going. Heaven help us.

Victor walks past Jill and pats her on the back He takes a seat next to her.

Jill: Mackenzie is this all?

Mac: No, we are waiting on one more person.

Jill: I wonder who that could be.

Everyone chats amongst themselves wondering who is this last person.

Then the door opens, and standing in the door way is Karynn with an open bottle of champagne in one hand and a Virginia Slim in the other.

Karynn: Esther drives very slow but I’m here.

Jill stands up in an outrage.

Jill: There is no way in hell I am working with that trash.

Chance: Grandma please. This is Katherine’s sister.

Jill: I don’t care she is trash and I refuse.

Karynn: Jill normally I would have a response for you but at his moment I’m feeling to damn good to even let you ruin my good day. 

Karynn stumbles and takes seat next to Nikki. She ashes out her cigarette on the table since there is no ash tray.

Jill: We are not off to a good start.

Mac: Ok everyone, I’ll begin. Per Katherine’s will we, everyone here will have a major impact on this company. Right now, CI is floundering with fracking lawsuits and clients terminating deals due to the bad publicity from the law suits. So as a team we are going to turn this around. Katherine says here she was planning on retiring. The issues CI faces are massive and too much for one person to bear. So I have set up the following structure to ensure the growth and success of this Company.

Starting with Victor Newman, a dear friend of mine and someone who has saved this company once before, I officially name Victor CEO of CI.

Victor smiles broadly as he is given a sense of power back.

Mac: Jill, Jill will serve as Co-CEO as a check and balance against Victor, and to train and mentor Phillip the 3^rd and Phillip the 4^th to take over as CEO’s. Also there will be a board of directors, which will include any one of my siblings that are left.

Karynn: That means me Jill. Me damn it! YES, I hit the big time! First the money and now power.

Jill: This is getting worse.

Mac: Philip and Chane will sit on the board while being groomed as well as my good friend Nikki. My grandson Devon will also serve on the board.

There is no place for my son Tucker McCall at CI.

Mac continues… Grandma wanted Brock to sit on the board but he’s dead. So, it’s just us grandma left in charge to take over the company. All decisions will be made by committee and Victor will enact any changes. Victor will also only serve for 6 months as the transition team is mentored then at such time Jill will take over as CEO for a period of 12 months as such time Phillip and Chance will be ready to take over the reigns.

Everyone in the room is stunned. Karynn takes a few sips from her bottle of champagne to celebrate her winnings and new role in Genoa City.

Jill: This is not going to work at all. We got two drunks, a dictator.

Phillip: Mom stop that.

Victor looks around with a grin on his face. He too has power and money to take back his empire.
