187: Dru Catches Leslie with Neil!!

Gina’s Italian Bistro

Keemo with Gloria walks in the lobby. Gina greets them.

Gina: Hello you two. I haven’t seen you in quite a while.

Keemo: Yes Gina it has been a long time.

Gloria: The place is looking lovely Gina. I sure do miss running my own place.

Gina: Yes so sorry about Glo Worm burning down.

Glo: I guess things happen.

Gina: Keemo how is your dad Jack?

Keemo: Gina I rather not talk about Jack tonight.

Gina: Oh…oh my, ok. Follow me to your seats.

Keemo and Glo follow behind Gina but Gloria stops dead in her tracks when she walks past Nick and Lauren’s table. Gloria’s eyes get big.

Gloria: Hi Lauren. I’m here with my cub.

Lauren: That’s really cute Gloria.

Gloria: So is this,… you being here with Nick. I guess you found yourself a cub as well.

Nick: It’s nothing like that Gloria. Lauren and I are just friends having drinks and dinner. There is nothing wrong with that.

Gloria: As long as you remember Lauren is still a married woman… To my son… You remember him don’t you Lauren?

Lauren: I sure do. And I’m sure you won’t let me forget.

Gloria: You’re right. My son is a good man.

Lauren: More like a bitch boy to me. Please Gloria I’d like to eat in peace.

Gloria: You’re going to stop insulting my son in that way.

Lauren: Could you just please leave.

Gloria: What is my grandson Fenmore going to say about this?

Keemo then comes up and grabs Gloria.

Keemo: Glo let’s go to our table.

Gloria: No wait I have a few things to say to Lauren! I am not going to let her betray my son like this!

Keemo: We have our own issues now come on woman! I’ve waited long enough.

Keemo pulls Gloria to their table.

Lauren: I’m sorry about that.

Nick: No it’s ok. Gloria has the wrong idea about us.

Lauren: Right… Just friends.

Nick: I’ll toast to that.

Nick grabs his champagne glass and Lauren grabs hers and they clank their glasses, toasting to friendship. They smile at one another.

Devon and Abby’s Table

Abby: I am starving.

Devon: I am too actually.

Abby: So while we wait for our food, this would be a good time to ask is there any word on Malcolm or Moses?

Devon: None. Malcolm is on the run with Moses and there are no traces of either one of them.

Abby: My heart goes out to your family right now. With Neil, Nate and Malcolm… but one good thing, your mother is back.

Devon: Yes Dru is. I am still having a hard time with it.

Abby: Oh I bet. We all thought she was dead when she fell off the cliff at the photo shoot.

Devon: Well according to my mom, Phyllis pushed her off the cliff.

Abby: I just hope they can work it out. Your life has been crazy this last year, from learning Tucker was your father therefore making you a Chancellor. Then losing both Kay and Tucker in one night. Then you had to deal with Roxanne’s betrayal, then the truth coming out at Lily’s home coming party. I mean I could go on and on.

Devon: I rather you didn’t. It’s all very depressing.

Abby: I bet, it’s why I have a surprise for you. Something I think you will enjoy.

Devon smiles at her as the waiter brings over their food.

Leslie takes a seat next to Neil and grabs his hand to hold it. She looks at him and remembers the night Malcolm shot Neil point blank in the chest.

Leslie: Neil we are praying you make a full recovery. We need you. I need you. We were just starting our lives together.

Leslie squeezes Neil’s hand, who still lays in a coma.

Outside the room stands Olivia and Dru.

Dru: Livia’, tell me who that is holding my husband’s hand.

Olivia looks in the window of the door and sees Leslie. Olivia already knows that when she tells Dru that Leslie is with Neil, Dru is going to have a strong and negative reaction.

Olivia: I don’t see anything.

Dru looks at her sister.

Dru: Girl you tripping give me those damn glasses you wearing! Maybe it’s me who is tripping.

Olivia takes her glasses off her face and hands Dru the reading glasses. Dru looks them over as they catch her eyes.

Olivia: What’s the matter?

Dru: I was looking to see if they were dirty or needed wiped off. I know my eye sight is ok. But the more I look at these, the more I like them. Ooh girl these are cute! I like these where you get these from?

Olivia smiles, thankful Dru is  not focused on Leslie at the moment giving Olivia time to deter the inevitable maybe even avoid it all together.

Olivia: Special order here at the hospital. Being chief of staff comes with many perks. Perks I may not be able to enjoy much longer.

Dru: Ok wait a minute. One thing at a time. Dru can only handle one thing at a time. I came here to see my nephew Nate and then my husband Neil only to find some woman holding my man’s hands.

Dru puts the reading glasses on and looks in the window.

Dru: I can see the great lakes from here with these bifocals! Liv are your eyes this bad girl?

Dru sees Leslie now caressing Neil’s face.

Dru: Oh hell no!

Dru snatches the glasses from her face and hands them over to Olivia.

Olivia: Dru what is it?

Dru: I don’t like what I’m seeing. She’s rubbing on Neil’s face.

As Dru turns the door knob to enter Olivia grabs her.

Olivia: Dru remember this is a hospital. I’m already on thin ice around here. Please don’t make a scene.

Dru: You must know something Liv. And you don’t wanna tell me. It’s not going to be a scene. I’m Neil’s wife and that woman in there is mistaken and confused. I’m going to take her to school.

Dru enters the room and shuts the door behind her to let Leslie know that someone is in the room with her.

Leslie jumps up at the sound of the door closing catching her off guard. She turns around and sees Dru. Dru looks at Leslie as Leslie looks at Dru. Leslie wonders what will Dru say or do. She already knows Dru will get down and dirty because that’s exactly what Dru did with Phyllis when they came face to face for the first time in years with the UFC brawl Dru had with Phyllis. Leslie takes a deep breathe trying to anticipate what is coming next but not be a push over.

 Back at Gina’s, Lauren and Nick’s table.

Lauren: So how are things for you?

Nick: Very tough. My son hates me. He blames me for Sharon’s death.

Lauren: It is very hard to believe Sharon is dead.

Nick:  I really should have done more. I feel so guilty.

Lauren: What more could you have done Nick?

Nick: I don’t know maybe searched for her myself.

Lauren: Maybe but you would have never been able to find Sharon at Verdon Lou. To think Sheila was alive and held her hostage. It’s so insane to me. Sheila could have come after  me. In fact I wonder why she didn’t this time around. Why did Sheila go after Sharon in the first place?

Nick: That is a good question. I’m going to have to talk to Dru and find out. None of it makes any sense really.

Lauren: Not at all.

Nick: Well did you ever find out if Vandalynn is really one of Sheila’s daughters?

Lauren: Not yet. I think my son is avoiding me.

Nick: What are you going to do if Scotty really did get Sheila’s daughter pregnant?

Lauren: Hopefully it’s not too late for the devil’s spawn to get an abortion. There is no way in hell I’m going to let Scotty have a child with a Carter.

Phyllis and Daniel walk into Gina’s Bistro

Gina smiles widely at seeing her nephew. She extends her arms out for a hug.

Gina: Hi Phyllis.

Phyllis: Hi Gina.

Daniel: It’s good to see you Aunt Gina. How are you? I see business is good.

Gina: It is. Full house tonight.

Phyllis: Well thank you for fitting us in.

Gina: Anything for family. How is baby Lucy Daniel?

Daniel: She is good. Getting bigger every day. She’s with the sitter this evening.

Gina: Oh I see. I’d like to see her soon, maybe we can go to the park and then grab some ice cream.

Daniel: I think Lucy would love that.

Phyllis looks around the restaurant to see who is there. She spots Lauren and Nick having dinner. Phyllis is stunned.

Phyllis: Excuse me.

Daniel: Wait mom where are you going?

Gina: She’s probably headed over to Nick and Lauren’s table.

Daniel: Nick and Lauren?

Gina: Yes, it seems they are the most controversial guest I have tonight. Gloria just left their table.

Daniel: I hope mom doesn’t do anything crazy.

Gina: Me too. I don’t want a scene.

Daniel walks over to Nick and Lauren’s table

Keemo and Gloria’s table

Keemo: So what was that all about with you and Lauren?

Gloria: I’m trying to save my son’s marriage. Lauren is going to divorce Michael and she’s also trying to get full custody of their son Fenmore yet she’s here with Nick Newman having a great time when she needs to be working things out for the sake of her family.

Keemo: Michael is old enough to take care of himself. You can’t dictate their marriage.

Gloria: Michael is not in the best of shapes right now. He’s about to lose everything. I’m just trying to give my son some hope.

Keemo: I’m sure it will work out.

A waiter brings over a pair of menus.

Keemo: So when are you going to be ready to open Glo Worm back up? I gave you the loan and it’s been rebuilt we are just waiting on you.

Gloria: I don’t know if I want to run a restaurant any more.

Keemo: What has changed?

Gloria: Us.

Keemo: Well now that we are here let’s talk about us. Gloria I’ve waited quite a few months for you to give me an answer on my marriage proposal. In fact we have not talked at all. I’m beginning to lose interest.

Gloria: I don’t know what to say.

Keemo: After all this time you should have something to say.

Gloria: This is very hard for me Keemo. I loved your grandfather with all my heart. And to know that I love his grandson is too much for me. It feels so weird.

Keemo: I respect my grandfather but Glo I’m here in the now. John Abbott is dead and gone.

Gloria: Don’t speak about him like that!

Keemo: Then stop stringing me along! I want to be in love Gloria. With you. But you have these walls up and making this unnecessarily difficult. If you really love me then you would not allow your feelings for my granddad get in the way.

Gloria: You’re right. I do love you Keemo. You came in my life and swept me off my feet.

Keemo: Then what’s holding you back now? I can continue to do that if you would just say yes.

Gloria just looks at Keemo, not knowing what to say or how to feel.

Back at the Hospital, Neil’s room

Dru and Leslie continue to stare at each other.

Dru: I’ll break the silence… I don’t believe we’ve met. I mean I saw you hanging around the night I came back to Genoa City and I did ask about who you are but no one really told me anything. Besides once I saw Phyllis, I had to whoop her ass. You did see that didn’t you?

Leslie: I did.  The whole city has seen it. It was captured on live TV by Phyllis’ camera crew.

Dru: How embarrassing that had to have been for her. She came to tape the story and she became the story when I beat her down.

Leslie: You seem to be very proud of that.

Dru: I am but let me tell you why…I’m sorry girl, I still don’t know your name.

Leslie: It’s Leslie.

Dru: I’ll just call you Les. You see Les, that Phyllis Bitch had that ass whoopin’ coming for a long time. She pushed me off that cliff at the photo shoot and I lost years of my life with my family.

Leslie: If Phyllis pushed you, then why isn’t she in jail for her crime?

Dru: I’m working on that. The police department has been overwhelmed with all the crimes in this city.

Leslie: I bet they are.

Dru: Yes, Phyllis Bitch took years of my life away from me, my family and my husband. My husband… You see that’s my husband laying right there in the bed. I’ve come back to him and my family… Now I told you all the low down about me girl, now it’s time for you to tell me who you are, and what are you to Neil because I seen you with my own two eyes you holding my husband’s hand and I want an explanation.

Leslie looks at Dru, nervous to tell her that she is Neil’s girlfriend. She knows Dru will not be pleased and could become physical especially after Dru overly highlighted her beat down of Phyllis.

Dru: Go ahead Les. Tell Dru why were you holding my husband’s hand?

Leslie just clears her throat as Dru continues to wait for an answer.
