185: Roxanne learns Hillary is having Nate's Child!

City Jail

Roxanne wipes the tears of pain streaming down her face as she revels in the fact that the man she loves has gotten her half sister Hillary else pregnant.

Spencer: Roxanne I’m sorry I have to tell you this way. This fighting has got to stop though with you and your half-sister. Look at you, it landed you in jail.

Roxanne turns around and looks at him.

Roxanne: Was this the good news you wanted to share with me?

Spencer: Actually no.-

Roxanne: Get the hell out Spencer. Get out of here and never come back! I’ll find my own way outta here and it won’t be through anger management. I am not angry damn it. GET OUT SPENCER!

A guard comes in after hearing Roxanne yell and Roxanne asks to be taken back to her cell.

Spencer looks down in frustration. He then gets up and leaves.

Roxanne is put in a cell with Sister Patterson.

Roxanne lays on her cot trying to fight back tears heart broken that Hillary is having Nate’s child.

Sister Patterson stares at her. Roxanne can feel the Sisters eyes piercing through her and looks at her.

Roxanne sits up.

Roxanne: What in the hell are you looking at old ass lady?

Sister Patterson: I ought to slap the mess out ya. How dare you speak to me like that? Don’t you know no good?

Roxanne: How dare you stare at me like that? I don’t swing that way.

Sister Patterson: I only swing God’s way. I don’t know what foolishness you’re talking. The reason I’m staring at you is because of your mother.

Roxanne: What about Leslie?

Sister Patterson: You’re her daughter.

Roxanne: And?

Sister Patterson: Your mother is a sinning slut and I despise that evil doer.

Roxanne: Ok. And you have a terrible wig that doesn’t even fit your forehead but I’m not making a big deal out of it.

Sister Patterson: You’re a rotten person just like your trifling ass mother. Like mother like daughter. She was a whore and you seem to be one to.

Roxanne: Say what now?

Roxanne says now sitting up on her cot.

Sister Patterson: You heard me whore. Should I ask the guard for some q tips for your ears? You had an affair with Brother Nathan while you were with that handsome Devon. That’s a whore in the bible. You see,… you get all that nastiness from your nasty ass mother.

Roxanne: I really ought to beat the hell out of you old lady. So saintly and quick to pass judgement but here we are together in a jail cell.

Sister Patterson: I was doing the work of the Lord. I had to slap the slut out of your mother.

Roxanne: I’m going to advise you to leave me and my mother alone. You have no idea about us. And I never slept with Nate you nosey bat. You need to put more attention into a new wig that covers up more of that big forehead you got. You don’t know me like that.

Sister Patterson: You’re a whore like your mother and that’s all I need to know. You also just defended your mother Roxanne.

Roxanne realizes the dirty mouthed sister is right. For the first time since Roxanne found out that Leslie was her mother this is the first time she went to bat for her.

Roxanne: Guard!

Roxanne calls out. She stands up. And calls out for a guard again. A guard approaches her cell.

Guard: Yes?

Roxanne: I need to make a phone call. I have to get out of here before this old lady in here drives me crazy.

Guard: You aren’t getting out of here unless you complete an anger management class as the judge so ordered.

Sister Patterson chimes in: If my mother was a hooker walking the track, I’d be an angry young woman too.

Guard: And you Miss Patterson won’t be released until you complete your court ordered mental evaluation.

Roxanne: Yes she def gone need a few of those. Bitch is cray’. That old wig is too tight or I think it’s all that fore head. She don’t got enough blood and oxygen going to that big ass head of hers. She talking to me crazy and she lucky I don’t whoop her old ass and then use her as a broom since she is looking so dusty any damn way. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Roxanne turns around and looks at a scornful Sister Patterson.

Sister Patterson: No one has ever talked to me like that! You’re a demon. Demon child! How dare you say those evil things to an agent of God!

The guard opens the cell and escorts Roxanne to the pay phone.

Lauren knocks on Scotty’s door. No answer.

Lauren: Come on Scotty we have to talk about your child on the way and the real identity of the mother of this child.

Still no answer.  She knocks again.

Lauren: Come on Scotty I know you’re in there!

She continues to knock only this time putting more aggressive into it.

Lauren: You’ll have to see me at some point and we are going to talk about this Vandalynn person. You better pray to God she’s not Sheila’s daughter.

Lauren then gets a text in her phone. She opens her flip case cover and sees it’s from Nick.

                “Dinner and wine?”

Lauren: That’s exactly what I need right now after this stressful day.

Nick text back: Meet me at Gina’s in lets say an hour.

Lauren replies: Sounds good J

Lauren: This will be nice, I haven’t been out in a while.

She goes to her bed room and looks for some evening yet casual wear.

At Genoa City Memorial.

Hillary and Olivia are seated, talking to each other.

Olivia: I’m going to be a grandmother. Oh Hillary this is such wonderful news considering all the tragedies this family has suffered lately. From my son, to Neil but at least we got my sister Dru back which I still find so crazy not to mention Cane sold Lily’s kids for drugs. It’s so unbelievable.

Hillary: I do hope things get better. Seems to be a lot of drama in this family and I don’t want to bring Nathan’s and my baby up around all of that.

Olivia leans over and gives her a hug.

Olivia: I assure you we will keep this child safe. We just need to get Nathan out of this coma.

Hillary: I do hope the baby news provides just that.

Olivia: I just can’t believe Nathan held this dark secret for so long. I knew something was bothering him and I asked him a few times but he insisted he was fine. This is going to have far reaching ramifications for his career.

Hillary: What do you mean?

Olivia: The Board of Health is going to recommend disciplinary action against Nate. Including and up to termination, black listed and maybe even criminal charges. They’re even investigating me and threatening my job here as chief of staff.

Hillary: I’m so sorry to hear Mrs. Winters.

Olivia: A job is nothing compared to my sons life. I’m thankful I still have him here.

Hillary: I am thankful too. I love him so much. I feel so bad this has happened to him.

Olivia: I am just having such a hard time dealing with the fact that my son switched Moses paternity test from Malcolm to Neil. I never knew Nathan had that much hate for Malcolm. At one time Malcolm and I were together and he was so great with Nate. Especially after his father died. That was such a hard time for us. Dealing with the HIV scare. It was a crazy time.

Hillary: HIV?

Olivia: Oh that’s a story for another time trust me. Listen why don’t you go whisper the news in Nate’s ear. Maybe he’ll wake up.

Hillary: Ok sounds good.

Hillary gets up and walks over to Nate taking in the sight of him being in a body cast.  She feels guilty as flashes of giving Malcolm the recording of Nate confessing the paternity test results run through her mind.

She leans down close to his ear.

Hillary: Nathan baby, it’s me Hillary. I’m pregnant, I’m having your baby, and you’re going to be a father. Please wake up so we can celebrate the news.

Olivia stands behind Hillary and puts her hands on her shoulder to comfort her and they both look over Nate and pray he as a reaction, enough so that he awakes from his coma.

No Name Tower, 24th floor House of Kem

Mason walks into Keemo’s office. Keemo is busy on his lap top looking over resumes of designers.

Mason: Always working sir.

Keemo: Gotta get this fashion house up and running. I want a huge start. I only want the best. Jack still doesn’t know I am doing this.

Mason: He’s not going to be happy when he finds out.

Keemo: My father thinks he’s on top of the world but soon it will all come crashing down.

Mason: You mean with the help of Mr. Newman.

Keemo: I can’t get into that Mason. I’m always a man with a plan. Just know HOK will be in good hands we have nothing to worry about. And remember you’re my right hand so in the morning I’d like your assistance in sorting these resumes.

Mason: No problem Mr. Abbott. It’s about time for me to get to my other job.

 Keemo: I’m very sorry Mason that you have to work a second job. I assure you once HOK debuts and this money starts rolling in, you won’t need to work two jobs.

Mason: I look forward to that day Mr. Abbott. I have a lot of bills and a family I’m taking care of. Is there anything else you need before I leave?

Keemo smiles at Mason: Have a good night sir.

Mason: Thank you. In the morning then…

Mason walks out.

Keemo ponders Mason’s last statement. He said family. Keemo didn’t realize Mason had a wife and children to take care of. Mason never mentioned a family until this evening. His thoughts are interrupted when he sees a woman walk into his office in his peripheral view. He focuses in and sees Gloria. He immediately stands.

Keemo: Glo.

Gloria: I’m sorry I haven’t answered your calls or text.

Keemo: I’m glad that you are here.

He says as he walks over to her and grabs her right hand and kisses it.

Gloria: You’re so sweet Keemo.

Keemo: I’ve missed you Gloria.

Gloria: I’m sorry for pushing you away. I had a lot to think about and sort through.

Keemo: And now?

Gloria: I think we should talk Keemo.

Keemo: I’m fine with that only under one condition.

Gloria: I suppose since I feel I need to make my absence up to you. What is it handsome?

Keemo smiles as he thinks he knows what she is going to say to him, that she is finally ready to be with him. And if she says yes to his next question then it will confirm to him they are on the right path.

Keemo: Can we talk over dinner? Let’s say Gina’s? Right now I am starving and I could use a glass of wine.

Gloria: That sounds ok. I just hope there are not too many people there.

Keemo: And hear I thought we were getting somewhere. You still don’t want to be seen with me in public?

Gloria: This is a lot for me to deal with. Let’s just go have diner and a glass of wine to take the edge off.

Keemo: Back on the right track then.

Keemo extends his hand towards the door signaling her to leave as he follows.

Keemo has a grin on his face as he leaves with Gloria from No Name Tower. He can only hope that she will finally accept his marriage proposal tonight…finally!

City Jail

Roxanne is back in the meeting room. She is tapping her leg on the floor as she feels a bit nervous. She is anxious for the person she called to arrive.

Roxanne: This is my last hope.

The door opens and Devon walks in.

Roxanne smiles and gets up and wraps her arms around him. Devon is surprised at the gesture but does not wrap his arms back around Roxanne. Roxanne gets the point and her smile fades as she pulls back from Devon.

Roxanne: Thank you for coming down here Devon.

Devon: I am surprised you called. I was on my way to have dinner with Abby.

Roxanne’s half smile disappears.

Roxanne: Oh, well my apologies for interrupting that.

Devon: You sounded frantic on the phone Roxanne. Why did you want to see me?

Roxanne: Devon I need your help.

Meanwhile, Spencer’s Apt.

Spencer opens his door to find Leslie on the other side. He smiles at her. She enters and can see he is half dressed, boxers on with a pair of black socks and he is trying to button up his shirt.

Leslie: The next time you answer the door I’m going to need you to be fully clothed.

Spencer: Girl why? It’s not anything here on me you haven’t seen before. In fact you used to like it.

Leslie: Enough, I’m with Neil. Now what happened with Roxanne?

Spencer: I got to make this fast, Gina called me in early, we have a full house tonight.

Leslie: Ok and about Roxanne?

Spencer: I was unable to even let her know that you are willing to put up her bail after she completes that anger management class.

Leslie: Why?

Spencer: I made things worse by telling her she had to give up this war with her half-sister because Hillary is pregnant with Nathan’s baby.

Leslie: I bet she didn’t take that well.

Spencer: Not at all.

Leslie: I don’t know what to do for her or with her. I simply don’t know.

At the Hospital

Hillary and Olivia continue to await a response from Nate. Hillary leans back down towards Nate’s ear and whispers: You’re going to be a father Nate.”

Olivia notices Nate’s heart rate increasing.

Olivia: My God, Hillary I think its working.

Hillary: I can hear his voice he’s trying to say something.

Olivia: I’m here Nate. You’re safe and ok. Are you in pain? I’m going to get the doctor.

Olivia leaves the room. Hillary gets closer to Nate.

Hillary: Come back to me Nate, we are going to have a baby.

Nate grumbles. But he finally manages to get something out. “Roxanne” He says.

Hillary is stunned and devastated. She stands back from Nate a bit realizing that Nate may just love Roxanne more than her.

Nate: Roxanne…
