197: Did Scotty get Sheila Carter's daughter Pregnant?

Phyllis walks over towards her son Daniel, who is  comforting Lily.

Daniel looks up and sees Phyllis with Lucy.

Daniel and Lily pull back from they’re embrace.

Daniel: Mom what are you doing here?

Phyllis: I am here to see Avery off. She’s going to a treatment center for the blind.

Lily stands up and interrupts the conversation not wanting to deal with attacking Avery with Phyllis.

Lily: Look I’m going to go home. I’m so emotionally drained.

Daniel: Give me a sec, I’ll drive you.

Lily walks outside the hospital.

Phyllis: Daniel what is going on here?

Daniel: Lily learned about Avery and Cane’s affair and came here to attack her.

Phyllis: That’s all the Winters’s women do, attack attack attack.

Daniel: I know you have your beef with Dru but Lily is going through something incredible. Her twins have been sold for drugs.

Phyllis: That is awful. Listen, I need to talk to you about Daisy.

Daniel: Daisy? Mom I already dealt with her.

Phyllis: I just caught her stalking you and Lily and she made a veiled threat.

Daniel: What do you mean a veiled threat?

Phyllis: She implied she will return to her crazy ways in order to put her family back together with you.

Daniel: I don’t like how that sounds.

Phyllis: Neither do I.

Meanwhile,

Daisy walks over towards Mary’s room with thoughts of Daniel holding Lily on her mind. It makes her angry as she opens the door to Mary’s room. She sees an empty bed and all of Mary’s belongings are gone. Daisy remembers the hooded man standing over Mary.

Daisy: What is going on... Has Mary been kidnapped?

She ponders to herself.

“Or is Mary avoiding me? “She then thinks to herself.

On the streets of GC, a rusted ford ranger has taken to the road. Inside the small truck are Ryder who is driving, and Mary.

Ryder: Don’t worry Mary everything is going to be ok. We are gonna sort out this mess you’re in.

Mary: I don’t even know who the father of my child is because my mother tricked me out. That’s my legacy. What am I going to tell my child when he or she is born?

Ryder: The only thing you should worry about is keeping Daisy off your back and that’s the first thing we are gonna do. You two fighting over your night of sex with Daniel will tear this plan apart.

Mary: You could be right. I have to avoid Daisy. She will kill me if she learned I slept with the father of her child. Ugh so much stress. I can’t wait till we get to where we are going so I can freshen up with a hot bubble bath.

Ryder pulls into a driveway of an abandoned house.

Mary: Uhm what is this?

Ryder: Our new home. I been working on it for weeks.

Mary: The windows are all boarded up. Even the front door. It’s looks so creepy Ryder. I don’t know. I was expecting something with a little more style and comfort.

Ryder: I went through a lot of shit to put this together for us.

Ryder says angrily. Mary looks at him. She’s a bit unnerved by the whole vibe.

Mary: It feels like I’m in a scary movie. The house looks so old and ominous. Is there electricity and hot water?

Ryder: Yes I have a generator. Now come on, let’s get you set up.

Mary: How the hell do we get in?

Ryder: There’s a big hole in the back of the house.

Mary: You mean a door.

Ryder: No that is boarded up to, there is a big hole in the back you’ll see.

Mary can only give him a strange look.

Ryder gets out his truck and heads for the back of the house.

Mary is feeling extremely leary of Ryder.

Mary: It keeps getting worse. Something is wrong with Ryder.

Lauren’s Penthouse

Lauren pounds on Scotty’s door.

Lauren: That’s it Scotty, no more avoiding me! I’m not going anywhere till you come out that room. If I must call the police to break this door down I will damn it!

Scotty unlocks the door from the inside and opens the door.

Scotty: Mom do you have to be so dramatic… I was trying to take a nap.

He says as he removes the sleep from in the corner of his eyes.

Lauren: I wouldn’t have to be so dramatic if you wouldn’t have been avoiding me. We have things to do and discuss.

Scotty stumbles out the room.

Scotty: What is it mom what is going on?

Lauren: I can’t believe your being so cavalier. You may have a child on the way with  Sheila Carter’s daughter. We must find out what is going on. Is Vandalynn really Mary Carter?!!

Scotty: Vandalynn is not a Carter.

Lauren: We’ll we are going to the hospital to find out once and for all. This so called Vandalynn could be a front for Mary Carter.

Scotty: Ok mom. We’ll go find out if I got a Carter pregnant.

Scotty goes to put some decent clothes on, wondering if Vandalynn is really Mary Carter.

Lauren meanwhile is gathering her purse. She feels intense and nervous at the same time as her only thoughts are of Sheila and the possibility her son may have gotten a Carter pregnant.

Lauren: Over my dead body.

Lauren has a flash back of an encounter with Sheila.

Lauren: Scotty will never father a Carter Child!

In Chicago, Nursing Home

Karynn sits in a love seat in the hallway across from Karl’s room. She has her face buried in her hands.

Esther is sitting next to her caressing her back.

Esther: It’s going to be ok Miss Sheppard. Karl is resting in heaven along with your sister Katherine. They can reconnect after all these years.

Karynn: I was going to take care of him. Just as soon as I got my money from the Chancellor Estate I was going to travel the world with my brother. Give him the good life he deserved. That was my plan Esther. That’s all I’ve been trying to do.

Garret over hears Karynn speak of money from the Chancellor Estate.

“Kary is coming into some money. I better stick close.”

He thinks to himself.

He walks over and tries to give her another hug. Karynn pushes him away.

Karynn: Don’t even try it you troll.

Garrett: Damn it Kary I’m only trying to be here for you.

Karynn: Then go get me a beer.

Garrett smiles.

Garret: Your wish is my command.

Garret is pleased as he sees a glimmer of hope of getting in just enough with Kary again to be able mooch some money from her.

At the Nurses station sits Kitten, doing the paper work on her fresh uncle's death Karl.

Meanwhile Nina and Chance are standing some ways off from Karynn down the hall looking at them.

Chance: So now what?

Nina: I have no idea. I feel bad for Karynn losing her brother.

Then Nina gets a call.

Nina: It’s from Genoa City. Your dad is probably worried about us.

Nina answers.

                “Mac. As in Mackenzie”

Chance gives Nina a look as she mentions Mac’s name.

Nina: Mac I’m so sorry… We are in Chicago…We’ll be there as soon as we can. Thank you for calling and just know it will all be ok Mac.

Nina hangs up her phone.

Chance: What was that about?

Nina: It was Mac. Her father is dead. Brock died in a plane crash. We must get back to GC.

They walk over towards Karynn to let them know they must go.

Back in GC, the Hospital

Phyllis: I just want you to be careful regarding Daisy.

Daniel: I’m not worried about her. But I don’t want to tell Lily anything about Daisy. I don’t want her to be worried about anything else. She’s a wreck right now.

Phyllis: And you’re going to be her knight in shining armor. Rekindle old times.

Daniel: If that is the case so what of it?

Phyllis: I don’t see how it is going to work this time considering I hate Lily’s mother and she hates me too.

Daniel: That is not going to affect my feelings for Lily. Besides I’m not even thinking like that, I just want to help her through this. Her twins are missing and that’s all we are focused on.

Phyllis: Well don’t get blindsided worrying about Lily’s kids when you have a daughter of your own. That would be a perfect opportunity for Daisy to slither in and try something.

Daniel catches Lauren with Scotty arriving and walking over towards Vandalynn’s hospital room but is stopped by Daisy as she walks out the room.

Phyllis: What’s wrong?

Daniel: Nothing just watching.

Phyllis turns around and sees Lauren and Scotty facing Daisy. Then a dark imposing figure obscures her view. She looks up and sees Victor walking towards her. She rolls her eyes as Victor gleams walking over to her, pleased that he’s gotten under Phyllis’s skin yet again.

Phyllis: Ugh Just be careful honey. I’m going into see Avery.

Daniel continues to watch the scene that’s about to take place with Lauren, Scotty and Daisy.

Phyllis enters Avery’s room and Victor follows right behind her.

Daisy: Lauren, it’s good to see you.

She smiles as she knows she unnerves Lauren every time they meet.

Lauren: We are here to see this Vandalynn character, I’d like to get to know her a bit better. She is pregnant, by the way isn’t she?

Daisy: And your son could be the father huh? That has to hurt Lauren.

Daniel gets a little closer toward the scene to hear what is being said.

Lauren: There is no way in hell I will ever let my son father a Carter child!

Daisy: So, you are here to find out if Vandalynn is really my sister Mary?

Lauren: How smart you are. Not only are you crazy you have a bit of brain to.

Daisy: Don’t you dare talk to me like that!  You keep saying I’m crazy and if you truly believe that, if I were you I’d be a bit leary of me. Your being so bold today. I guess someone had their breakfast essentials this morning. I’m sick of people in this town treating me like I’m some cancer or I have a contiguous disease. I want a life with my family just like you have yours.

Lauren: You are a cancer around here! No one wants you around. The father of your child doesn’t want you!

Daisy is about to smack Lauren but she pulls back deciding to attack in another maybe more effective way.

Daisy: You speak about families and children, well let me ask you Lauren, how are you gonna feel when your first  grand born is a Carter?

Daniel listening to the scene has a few thoughts to himself.

“So, Scotty could be the father of Mary’s child and not me. This is a very good thing. Now Daisy will never find out I slept with her sister. But why would Mary use that alias Vandalynn and why would she seduce me...?”

Lauren: So then it’s true? Vandalynn is really Mary Carter?

Daisy: Yes, it true.

Scotty shakes his head in disbelief. Lauren’s knees buckle and she falls to the ground as the news hits her like a nuclear bomb,  screaming out and crying. Her worst night mare has just been confirmed!!!

196: Pushing Daisy

GC Memorial Hospital 

Daisy looks at Daniel awaiting an answer to her question.

Daisy: Answer me Daniel, did you sleep with my sister the night you walked into GC Nights with your pants missing.

Daniel ponders the question for a moment. He realizes that yes indeed he may have slept with Daisy’s sister Mary, or Vandalynn, what she was calling herself at the time. He doesn’t want to be implicated in sleeping with another Carter and there is no telling how Daisy will react if she learns that he slept with Mary. Daniel also remembers over hearing that Mary is pregnant. Daniel definitely doesn’t want to be saddled with another Carter baby.

Daniel: No I didn’t sleep with your sister.

Daisy: Why did it take so long for you to answer me? How do you know it wasn’t her? You said you didn’t remember who it was you had sex with. It should have been me. We should be making this family work for the sake of our daughter.

Daniel: I already told you that we will never be together, we will never be a family and you will never gain custody of Lucy. If you hadn’t drugged and then raped me, I wouldn’t have anything to do with you at all. I’m sick of all you Carters!

Daisy: Carters? With an “s” as in plural. So have you dealt with any other Carter besides me? My sister perhaps. You had sex with her didn’t you and now you want to hide it from me.

Then they hear screaming coming from one of the other patient rooms.

Daniel: That sounds like Lily.

Daniel turns around and rushes into the room where he heard the screaming come from. As he opens the door, he sees Lily wind milling Avery as Lily is just basically sitting on top of Avery in her hospital bed. Avery reaches around her, trying to find something, anything to stop Lily’s attack. She feels her lunch tray and snatches it. She swings it, aiming towards Lily and it hits dead on, in Lily’s face which knocks her off of Avery and onto the floor. Lily has blacked out.

Episode 196: Pushing Daisy

Daisy walks to her sister’s room. She looks at Mary through the glass on the door. Daisy thinks about Daniel and the possibility that he may have slept with Mary. Tears of pain stream down Daisy’s face.

Daisy: How could it be my own sister betrayed me with the father of my child? I swear to God if I find out Mary and Daniel slept together, I’ll kill them both. Mary having sex with Daniel was not a part of the plan.

Daisy’s thoughts are interrupted when she sees a person, with a hoodie walk into her eye sight. The hooded person stands over and watches Mary sleep. Daisy wonders who it is and decides to wait a moment to see what happens. But even that is interrupted when she hears screams again coming from the room down the hall. She looks down the hall and sees Daniel dragging a screaming Lily out of Avery’s room.

Lily: You’re a crack whore!... You’re a skank Avery Clark!

Daniel: Lily get a hold of yourself!

 The scene becomes urgent for Daisy forgetting about the hooded man standing over Mary and she decides to watch the father of her child, with his former flame, Lily.

Daisy: Daniel and Lily. This battle gets harder and harder. I will prevail and put my family back together again. Lily or Mary will not stop that.

Daisy walks over toward the ex-lovers.

Meanwhile, the hooded man continues to watch over Mary as she sleeps.

Mary suddenly wakes up and gasps.

Mary: Ryder! Oh MY GOSH I’m so happy to see you.

 She sits up and gives him a hug.

Ryder smiles.

Ryder: I’m here to help.

Mary: Thank God because I made a mess of things.

Ryder: I know. Mother told me.

Mary: Mother? Is Sheila alive?

Chicago Ill, Karl’s room, Golden Times Care facility

Karynn has tears streaming down her face as she holds Karl’s cold dead   hand tightly.

Karynn: Karl I wasn’t in time for you. I’m so sorry.  I tried to make it here for you. But I was too late.

Garret walks over towards Karynn and places his hand on her shoulder to give her some type of warm comfort in her hour of despair. Karynn look up at Garrett.

Karynn: Garret he’s gone. You might as well say I killed him. I killed my own brother!

Garret: You can’t blame your self Kary.

Nina then walks over to Karynn.

Nina: Karynn, Karl was very sickly.

Kitten: When Uncle Karl came to us, he didn’t have long. What in the hell did you do to him Karynn?

The paramedics take Karl’s body and slowly carry him out the room.

Karynn: Wait, where are you taking him?

Paramedic: To the funereal home to be cremated per his last will in testament.

Karynn: Cremated? You’re going to burn his body into ashes?

Garret: That’s the idea Kary.

Karynn: Oh Karl, what a way to go. They are going to burn you up.

Chance: But you will always have Karl near you once they hand you the vase.

Karynn: He’s gone. Karl was the only thing I had left in this world. He kept me going. Kept me fighting for us. For a better life. He deserved that he was a good man.

Garrett: Yes he was.

Kitten wipes a tear from her face over the loss of her uncle. She steps out of the room. Esther follows her to make sure she is ok.

Chance holds his mother as she too is shedding tears.

The paramedics take Karl’s body away. Karynn turns around and sees Garrett. He hugs her and she caves in, fighting the will not to break down she finally does and she wraps her arms around him for a sense of comfort.

Karynn: My brother is gone. What am I going to do?

GC Memorial, Mary’s Room

Mary: Tell me mother is not alive?

Ryder: As far as I know Sheila is dead. She died in the cabin fire in Verdon Lou.If she is alive she has not contacted me.

Mary: You said you knew I made a mess of things.

Ryder: I called mom to let her know James, your father, was after her. I was keeping tabs on him. That’s was my part in the plan. To watch your dad’s every move. Sheila informed me of everything that was happening and gave me instructions on what to do in case of her death. So here I am.

Mary: Ryder, Daisy is after me. She’s starting to put the facts together that I slept with Daniel. She is going to kill me.

Ryder: I know and that’s why I’m here. To rescue you.

Mary: Thank you but how are you going to do that?

Ryder: I have a few plans and like I said mother left some instructions. We have to carry on with the plan there is no turning back.

Mary: Now that I’m pregnant there is no turning back.

Ryder: First things first we have to get you outta here. You got to lay low for a while, to buy some time and plan our next move.

Mary: Sounds good. I don’t know how in the hell we are gonna keep Daisy at bay. She’s the crazy one.

Ryder: We need a little crazy some times.

Mary: Not me. I have a child to think about.  I also have to find out who the father of my child is. Scotty, Daniel or Noah. I feel so nasty just saying that. I slept with all three of them. My own mother tricked me out.

Ryder: I’m sorry it has to be like this but it had to happen. We are doing this for the sake of our family. The Carters.

Mary: So let’s get out of here before Daisy catches up to me. Hell Lauren and Scotty for that matter. Lauren already suspects I’m an actual Carter.

Ryder: We have a lot of things to plan.

Ryder picks Mary up out of her bed. Mary looks at Ryder and a weird look and vibe is exchanged.

Mary: Uh,… what are you doing?

Ryder: I told you, I’m here to recuse you. Now open the door once I carry you over there.

Ryder, with Mary in his arms walk over to the door and she opens it.

Ryder: Do you see Daisy?

Mary: Yes but she has her back turned walking towards Daniel.

Ryder: Good.

Ryder carrying his sister Mary in his arms rushes out the hospital side entrance.

Back down the hall

Daniel sits Lily down in some chairs that are across the hall from Avery’s room. Lily is breathing heavily.

Daniel: So this is where you went when you stormed out the police station.

Lily: Daniel, someone has to pay. My kids are missing. Sold in the streets for drugs. Avery was having sex with my husband and snorting coke with him. Where were my damn twins when they were doing this? I blame myself for being away so long. What was I thinking leaving Charlie and Maddie is Cane’s care?

Lily wipes tears from her eyes.

Daniel: Lily you can’t help that you were in Japan getting that skin graphing procedure done. The explosion at Sharon’s party burned your body bad. But you look amazing I must say.

Daniel says trying to redirect her anger.

Lily: I could kill Avery!

Daniel: Lily you have to get ahold of yourself. You can’t act like this. You have to be strong for your kids. Focus on finding them. Attacking my aunt won’t do anything to bring back your kids. I promise you I will help you find your twins.

Around the corner, Daisy is eavesdropping on Daniels conversation with Lily.

In Daisy’s mind she thinks about what she just heard.

“Lily’s kids are missing and Daniel thinks he’s going to help her find them. I don’t think so. If I can’t be with my daughter and Daniel, then Lily won’t be with her kids either. I will not let Lily take Daniel from me. Daniel and I will be a family for Lucy.”

Lily hugs Daniel.

Lily: I really appreciate that.

Daniel holds her trying to reassure her he will help.

Lily: This feels so good. It brings back memories of us when we were together.

Daniel: Two young lovers fighting to be together. This does feel nice.

Around the corner,

Daisy is now talking to herself

                “It’s already happening. Lily is trying to use her missing twins saga to lure Daniel in. It will not happen. “

Then Daisy feels a hard tap on her shoulder. She turns around and sees Phyllis, with Lucy.

Phyllis: Just what in the hell do you think you are doing spying on my son with Lily?

Daisy turns around to face Phyllis while rolling her eyes.

Daisy: I don’t think you need to worry about what I am doing, from what I understand you have bigger issues to worry about.

Phyllis: And just what does that mean?

Daisy: You pushed Dru off that cliff at the photo shoot.

Phyllis: Wrong. You’re a Carter and you’re also crazy. And I will never take my eyes off you and you will never get Lucy back.

Daisy: Your sister Avery doesn’t think I’m to cray.. It is after all with her help I was able to obtain my release from prison on good behavior. I do know how to be good.

Phyllis: You can be mother Theresa, but you will never get your daughter back.

Daisy: Right my daughter. And mother Theresa is dead by the way. Lucy is my flesh and blood and you and Daniel are making this harder than what it has to be. You both are pushing me. I’m trying to be good and patient but it’s getting old.

Phyllis: So what are you saying, you’re going to do something?

Daisy: Phyllis you’re a mother. You know where I am coming from. I want to be able to raise my little girl and be a family with her father Daniel. I don’t see any harm in that.

Phyllis: You’re a lunatic. That’s what’s wrong with it. You drugged and raped my son.

Daisy: You will not keep me from my child. I will put my family together and if you don’t stop standing in my way Phyllis, something may happen to you. As you said I am a Carter. I’d watch my step if I were you.

Phyllis: I’m just going to step past you and over to my son. And I’m going to tell him what you’re up to.

Daisy: I’ve had it. No more playing nice. Be my guest Phyllis. I’ll have to pay Dru a visit and come up with a plan to take you out. I promise you I will put my family back together again while getting rid of you in the process.

Daisy turns around and walks towards Mary’s hospital room.

Phyllis watches Daisy walk away. She thinks to her self

                “The last thing I need is Daisy and that bitch Drucilla teaming up against me.”
