191: Neil doesn't Remember Dru??

A strong cool breeze blows through the windy city, fall making its announcement it has finally arrived. Standing outside the police station are Karynn, who is smoking a cigarette, Esther, Nina, Chance and Garret. Garret has the shivers.

Garrett: That air sho’s is brisk. Fall is definitely here.

Nina: I still can’t belie Karynn was married to this man.

She says looking at Garret.

Karynn blows cigarette smoke in Nina’s face. Nina coughs from the cancerous inhale of tobacco.

Chance: That was uncalled for Karynn!

Karynn: Your mother needs to stop acting like she is holier than thou. She’s lived in a bubble all her life.

Nina: I think you would be surprised the kind of life I’ve had.

She says as she thinks about her past, David Kimble to more exact and the fact she arrived in town as a pregnant teen then her child was stolen.

Esther: Miss Sheppard I think we need to get to Karl.

Garret: Karl? Your brother? What’s going on with him?

Karynn: He’s sick. He’s been placed in a long term care facility here in Chicago. It’s why Esther and I came here.

Garret: That also must mean the state has his disability money and you don’t. That’s the real reason why you are here Kary. I know you well my sweet bunny.

Nina: You’re only here to get control of Karl’s disability check Karynn? Talk about low class.

Karynn: Nina you are really a pain in my ass. Chance, I would really have a chat with your mother. I’m liable to ash this cigarette right in her pesky chubby face.

Nina scoffs.

Garrett: Well I’m going to see Karl too. He was a good friend to me when we were married Kary. You know how close we are. You know you can’t get rid of me so we might as well get to stepping.  Besides this is my stomping ground I can take you anywhere you want to go in the Chi. I'll be the tour guide.

Esther: Miss Sheppard are you taking Garret with us?

Garrett: Damn it there it is again. Miss Sheppard. Yes master. What is it with that? Why can’t I get a Mr. Garrett?

Karynn: Esther is the maid.

Garrett: The maid? Kary you have a maid? So that must mean you’ve come into some big money. Now I’m really  not going anywhere.

Karynn: Dear God in heaven here we go. Garret you tacky leech!

Garrett: Yes Kary darling? I might have to woo you back over my way with my two step.

Garret grabs his belt buckle and does a little dance.

Nina: The hell with that, if this pimp or shrimp is going than Chance and I are too. We have no personal interest other than making sure Karl is ok. Its what Katherine would have wanted. Karynn wants his money and her pimp shrimp husband wants money too. This is turning into a circus.

Karynn: I need a beer.

Chance: No I don’t think so. You just got bailed out from jail thanks to your beer habit.

Karynn: Chance why can’t you be more like your father Phillip? He’s much nicer. You’re so uptight like your short chubby mother here. Do you have a lady in your life? I haven’t noticed one since I’ve been into Genoa City. Maybe that is the issue.

Garrett: Oooh Blue balls. That is nothing nice.

Everyone looks at Garret in disgust.

Esther looks confused.

Esther: What are blue balls? I don’t know what that is.

Everyone then turns and looks at Esther. Esther looks at each one of them and looks at Garret who is smiling at her with a big grin. He winks at her.

Episode 191: Neil doesn’t know who Dru is?

Back in Genoa City, GC Memorial, Neil’s Room

Neil looks at Dru with horror. Dru is taken aback, stunned almost and pulls away from Neil.

Neil: Who are you? Why are you here, I don’t understand.

Dru can sense how terrified and confused Neil is and leans down closer towards him to try and reassure him.

She caresses his face. A tear drips from her face and onto Neil’s.

Dru: Neil I know you may be confused. All these pain medications has you not thinking right. And I know it’s been a few years. But baby it’s me, Dru. Drucilla. I’m your wife. The mother of your children.

Neil’s heart rate begins to increase setting off alarms at the nurse’s station. Dr. Whitfield rushes into the room and instructs Neil to relax.

Kiko: I think you need to leave. You’re upsetting my patient.

Dru: That’s my damned husband! I haven’t seen him in years.

Kiko: Please leave now so I can get Mr. Winters back to a more stable state. You’re putting him through a lot according to his vitals and he’s already been through a lot. And has a lot more to go through.

Dru wipes a tear from her face, upset that the Doctor is ordering her out cutting her reunion short with Neil but at the same understanding maybe Neil needs time to digest the situation since he seems to be confused.

Dru: Whatever.

She says in response. She grabs her purse and exit’s the room.

Olivia and Leslie walk up to her.

Leslie: How is Neil did he ask for me?

Dru sucks her teeth as she looks at Leslie.

Olivia: Dru you look very upset what happened in there?

Dru: I don’t think Leslie should be here. She has no business here. Neil is my husband. Now I am trying my damnedest from making a scene but damn it this chic keeps pushing me.

Leslie: I sense things didn’t go very well between you and Neil. You’re looking for a target for your anger. If Neil was ok in there you would be all smiles. Did Neil ask for me?

Dru smiles, rolls her eyes and shakes her head back and forth. Just as Dru is about to move her arm into action Olivia, knowing her sister jumps in front of Dru and grabs her arm.

Olivia: Dru please don’t do it. You would put my job here at the hospital in further jeopardy.

Dru looks at her sister.

Dru: You see what she doing to me? I’m not having it Liv! She keep coming for me! What am I supposed to do with that? She don’t know me Liv.

Leslie steps away from the sisters and looks into the window of Neil’s door.

She then sees Kiko walking towards the door and she back away.

Olivia and Dru walk over towards the doctor.

Dru: How is my husband Dr. Wishtill?

Kiko gives Dru a look.

Kiko: The name tag reads Whitfield.

He says pointing towards it.

Dru: Uhm hmm. Carry on Doctor. Only my husband concerns me. Not your name.

Kiko: I’m glad to hear that you only care for your so called husband.

Dru: Uh hold up. So called?

Kiko: Can I answer your question?

Dru: Uhmmhmmm…Yes Whitfield.

Kiko: Neil becomes very distressed when you are around him.

Leslie adapts a smile to her face. Dru catches this and rolls her eyes at her.

Dru: Well of course he is going to be disturbed. My husband thinks I’m dead and I’ve been gone quite a long time.

Leslie: Not long enough.

Dru snaps her head towards Leslie.

Dru: I’m sorry girl say what now.

Leslie: Kiko can you continue?

Kiko: I’ll get this over with. Due to the stress Dru put upon Neil and in Neil’s condition I am barring Dru from seeing Neil for a few days. Neil cannot afford to have another stressful episode like that again.

Leslie: I agree.

Olivia: Leslie I don’t think you are helping matters any.

Leslie: Olivia I’m sorry but I agree with the doctor. I care for him so if this is what is needed for Neil and if we all really care for him then Dru will stay away from Neil.

Leslie turns towards the doctor

Leslie: Can I see him Dr. Whitfield?

Kiko: Sure can. It may be a great idea. We can see how he reacts to you.

Dru: Lord help me If I don’t leave now someone will be heading to the basement.  The morgue to be exact. This is some straight bull shit!

Dru turns around bumping into her sister as she storms out the hospital.

Leslie enters Neil’s room slowly as Kiko watches  from the outside. Olivia walks up to Kiko.

Olivia: Doctor, please tell me what happened with Neil and Dru.

Downtown Genoa City, GC Athletic Club 

Gloria is upset at seeing Keemo and Jill having what seems to be a good time. She walks over to them.

Keemo and Jill chuckles in between bites of food at Keemo’s funny stories from Vietnam, his native.

Gloria arrives at the table and clears her throat.

Gloria: Wow Keemo. You seem to move fast.

Keemo: Don’t make another scene Gloria. Jill and I are friends.

Jill: I mean come on Gloria this is really childish.

Gloria gives Jill big eyes.

Gloria: What is going  on here Jill? This man just proposed to me a few hours ago and then I find him here having dinner and a great time here with you!

Jill: Yes and you can’t keep your feelings out of the past and so here we are having dinner. So what Gloria. Keemo and I are friends and friends do have dinner and commiserate from time to time. Keemo wouldn’t even be here with me if you hadn’t ran out on his marriage proposal.

Gloria knows deep down Jill is right. She looks back over at Keemo.

Gloria: So this is it then Keemo? You’ve moved on with Jill?

Keemo bows his head into his hands in frustration as he realizes what this scene must look like to Gloria. Jill can do nothing but chuckle as she takes a sip of wine and continue  to eat her food.

Gloria: This is not funny Jill.

Jill chuckles even harder

                “Maybe not for you but it sure is for me darling.”

Jill holds up her glass towards Gloria giving her a toast but it’s a one way toast as Gloria is not happy nor has a glass.

Gloria: I’d like to wipe that smug right off your face Jill Abbott!

Back at the Hospital

Leslie walks over towards Neil’s bed. She smiles as he looks at her with half open eyes. He smiles at her. She slowly sits down next to him on the bed. She then grabs his hand and lets out a big sigh and then burst into tears.

Leslie: Thank God you’re ok Neil. There were times we didn’t know if you were going to pull through. But here we are. You made it.

Neil smiles at her. He squeezes her hand and she looks at him.

Leslie: What does this mean Neil? Dru just left out of here very upset. What happened with you two? I’m here with you and you’re making me happy? What does this mean?

Neil: I do not know Dru. I do not have a wife. I don’t know what is going on.

Leslie: Do you know who I am?

Neil: Yes. Leslie.

Leslie is so excited she hugs him causing Neil some discomfort. She pulls back.

Leslie: I’m sorry.

Neil: It’s ok. I’ve been shot there so some pain is to be expected. I want to stand up and hold you.

Leslie: I don’t think that’s a good idea. You had a lot going on today with waking from your coma up and then seeing Dru.

Neil: I don’t want to talk about Dru. She terrifies me.

Leslie: Me to. Do you have any children?

Neil: No, you know that. Is that a trick question?

Leslie realizes that Neil doesn’t remember his wife or his kids.

Neil moves the covers from his legs and tries to move. He has a look of pain on his face.

Leslie: Neil what is it? I told you this is too much.

Neil tries to move his legs but nothing is happening. His heart rate begins to increase again.

Leslie: Neil what is it?

Neil: I can’t feel my damn legs! Leslie I can’t move my legs!!

Outside the room Olivia and Kiko are in conversation.

Olivia: It seems like no one wants to talk about what is going on with Neil. Doctor to Doctor Kiko please tell me.

Kiko: I believe Neil has amnesia, and not only that, there is a good chance Neil may be paralyzed from the waist down. The bullet ricochet around into his back hitting some spinal nerves. With the bullet still lodge in there this presents a problem. Pull the bullet out damaging even more nerves and rendering Neil paralyzed or do we leave it there and try to repair and work around the bullet and hope for the best. Either way none of it looks good.

Olivia covers her mouth in shock.

Olivia: Poor Neil. This family can’t take much more.

190: Dru and Neil Reunites!!

 Gina’s Bistro, Phyllis and Daniel’s table

Phyllis and Daniel are served their food.

Phyllis: So son, have you decided on a preschool for Lucy yet? I can’t believe it’s that time in her life already, my baby girl is starting school.

Daniel: I know what school she won’t be at.

Phyllis: I don’t understand.

Daniel: Any type of boarding school like where you stashed Summer.

Phyllis: It was for Summer’s safety. I did not want my daughter to be a victim of my stalker.

Daniel: Well I’m still looking at a few. I’m want a school that will ensure me they will keep Daisy away from Lucy.

Phyllis: Oh I totally understand. I do not put anything past Daisy now that we know Sheila Carter was alive and holding Dru and Sharon hostage. In fact I wonder if Daisy was in on that plan.

Daniel: It’s a good question.

Phyllis: I just know at some point Daisy is going to fight for her daughter. I want you to be ready.

Daniel: Oh I will be. Daisy will never get  her hands on Lucy.

Phyllis: So how is Lily?

Daniel: Not good at all. I’m going to see her soon. From losing her husband, to the kids missing, she really needs me.

Phyllis: I just hope not too much.

Daniel sighs knowing where his mom is going with the conversation.

                “And what does that mean?”

Phyllis: Come on Daniel you’re not blind a lot has changed since the last time you and Lily were a couple.

Daniel: You mean your beef with her mother Dru.

Phyllis: Uh…yea. We are enemies. And if she’s not careful, she will be sorry.

Daniel: There’s that threat again on Dru. You have something over her.

Phyllis smiles.

                “I sure do.”

Episode 190: Neil and Dru Reunites!!

GC Memorial Hospital

Neil opens his eyes, heart rates increase and his breathing becomes heavy as he looks at his wife Dru.

Dru and Leslie are sitting on each side of him. Dru smiles at Neil. Neil looks as though as if he seen a ghost. He tries to speak but only odd noises and mumbles come out.

Leslie: I think you should leave Dru. Neil doesn’t look happy to see you. Can’t you see his heart rate and breathing is going sky high.

Dru: No one asked you. He’s just shocked and excited to see me. You have no business here.

Dru now speaks to Neil while caressing his face. Tears form in her eyes.

Dru: It’s me Neil. Dru… I’ve come back to you.  I’m here to help you get through this and put our family back together again.

Dru lays her head on Neil’s chest and burst into an explosion of tears, from having missed her husband all these years. Neil is unable to speak still and looks at Leslie. She gives him a warm smile.

Olivia and Dr. Whitfield walk into Neil’s room.

Kiko: I need this room cleared so I can examine Mr. Winters.

Dru: Thank you Doctor.

 Dru and Leslie follow Olivia out of Neil’s room. Olivia stands in the middle of Leslie and Dru as they look at each other.

Olivia: Which one of you is going to tell me what happened in there?

Back at Gina’s Bistro

Lauren takes a final bite of her cheese cake. Nick meanwhile sits back and takes a sip of wine, watching Lauren.

Nick: Was it good?

Lauren: Heaven. I had a great time tonight. I‘m glad you called, I so needed this. With the divorce and custody battle looming and now this travesty with Scotty having a baby with the daughter of Sheila Carter.

Nick: Well let me ask you, what’s up with you and my dad?

Lauren: Oh Victor stopped by last night and wanted me to help him with his plan of revenge against Michael. I told him I didn’t want any parts of it. Besides I don’t understand why he would come to me in the first place considering my testimony put him away.

Nick: When it comes to revenge, I’ve learned my father will move heaven and earth.

Lauren: Oh I’ve known Victor long enough to know that. Seeing me here with you, I think he assumes this will make Michael mad or something or he’ll go tell Michael he saw me here with you.

Nick: We are just two good friends having a good time. That’s all.

Lauren smiles and drinks the last of her wine.

                “Right” She says looking at Nick.

Devon and Abby’s table

Abby: I had a great time this evening.

Devon: I did too. I’d like to do this more often. I like it when I’m around you.

Abby: Well you know how I feel about you.

Then Gina walks over to their table.

Devon: The food was exceptional this evening Gina.

Gina smiles.

Gina: I’ll be sure to tell my new cook. Abby we are ready for you dear.

Devon forms a frown on his face.

Devon: Ready? What’s going on?

Abby smiles at Devon.

Abby: I told you my surprise for you.

Devon: Now I’m really intrigued.

Abby: Stay tuned as they say.

She gets up and plants a kiss on his cheek and then follows Gina to a back room. Devon really wonders what Abby has up her sleeve.

Spencer walks out from the kitchen with a t bone steak that was asked to be served by him at table 71. Spencer looks down on his master piece with pride as he gets closer to table 71. As he approaches he sees Victor Newman with a grin on his face. Spencer realizes he has to serve the steak to Victor.

Victor: Spencer Walsh. From the District Attorney to a cook.

Spencer: What in the hell are you doing here Newman? When did you get out?

Victor: A few days ago. It surely is a wonderful event.

Spencer: Hell no! I lost everything because of you. I’m still trying to put my family together. My daughter is devastated over what you did.

Victor: Let me tell you something! I told you no one goes up against me and think they are going to win! I gave you a choice and my friend you chose the wrong one. So for that, your life as a pimp had to be exposed. Also, not only were you a pimp, you pimped Leslie, the woman who you slept with and produced a daughter. Her name is Roxanne I believe.

Spencer: Ruining our lives in the process and now I have to serve you steak.

Victor: It’s a bit ironic isn’t it?

Spencer slams the steak down on the table and the plate cracks in half. The steak slides off the plate, onto the table and then into Victor’s lap. Victor gets up as he grabs the sizzling steak from his lap and slams it back on the table. He stares down Spencer. Victor grabs the sizzling steak and smashes it in Spencer’s face. The steak burns Spencer’s face.

Victor: You like that bastard! How dare you to that to me!!

Then the lights dim in the restaurant. Some music begins to play on the sound system. It’s a laidback but upbeat tempo. Everyone looks around at each other wondering what is going on and some others begin to bop their head to the old school groove that’s beginning to play. As the words to the song start up Abby walks out from the back of the restaurant with a micro phone. Wearing a black and white short dress she belts out “Oh La La La” By Teena Marie.

Victor and Nick are very surprised at Abby singing.

Abby sashays towards Devon. She dances around his table as all he can do is smile in amazement at how good Abby sounds. Abby grabs his hand and pulls him to stand and as the song slows down they slow dance together. Then when the song picks back up she sits him back down so she can finish  belting out the rest of the song. As the song ends everyone in the restaurant gives her a standing ovation. 

Abby looks at Devon and he smiles at her.

Gina grabs the microphone

Gina: Give it up for Abby Newman! Who knew she had it in her?

Back at the Hospital, Outside Neil’s room

Dru: Nothing happened Liv. Les here was about to leave and give me and my husband our time to reunite. Isn’t that right Les girl?

Leslie: Not at all. I told you we will let Neil decide what he wants.

Dru looks at Liv.

Dru: Do you hear this crazy talk sis. She must not know about me. It’s not hard to see Neil is mine.

Leslie: Uhm Dru I know all I need to know of you and from that I do not wish to know any more.

Dru: See right there, that’s the shit I been talking about!

As Dru is about to go after Leslie, Dr. Whitfield walks out of Neil’s room. All attention is now turned to him.

Dru: How is my husband?

Dr. Whitefield: Neil is in a state of shock. He hasn’t said much and his vitals are back to normal.

Olivia: The bullet doctor, did it do any lasting damage?

Kiko: It is too soon to tell. I have not told Neil anything. He does not know that the bullet is still lodged within him. I gave him a light sedative for now.

Leslie: Can we go in and see him?

Dr. Whitfield: One at a time and only family.

Dru: That counts you out Les. I’m the wife and now it’s time to reunite with my husband.

Leslie rolls her eyes at Dru as she walks away from the crowd. Olivia walks with her. Dru fixes her hair and walks back in Neil’s room.

Outside the room

 Olivia and Leslie talk.

Olivia: I’m sorry you are going through this Leslie. I really don’t know what else to say other than Dru is married to Neil.

Leslie: I know Olivia. I’m just not going to walk away unless Neil asks me to. Your sister will not control what I do.

Olivia: Then I can only say good luck. Dru is a wild cat and I know she will fight for her family.

Leslie: We’ll see. It’s been a long time since Neil and Dru were together. Maybe, just maybe Neil has gotten over Dru and doesn’t even want to be married to her any more. Maybe just maybe Neil would rather be with me.

Inside the room, 

Dru sits down next to Neil. She again caresses his face. He looks at her with no emotion.

Dru: What’s the matter my love? The doctor gave you too many drugs and you’re feeling good huh?

Neil does not respond but his heart rate slowly increases.

Dru: I know you are thinking what is going on what am I doing here but I’m back. I did not die when Phyllis Bitch pushed me off that cliff. I survived. I came back to be with you and our family so we can resume our lives.

Neil smiles at Dru showing emotion.

Dru: There you are.

Dru holds his hand.

Neil tries to speak.

Dru: Shh no no baby. Not too much too fast.

Neil’s heart rate begins to increase more dramatically.

Dru: Relax Neil. It’s ok.

Neil tries to speak. Sounds come out but no words are forming. His breathing gets more intense.

Dru: Neil, what is it? Are you mute? What’s the matter you look upset.

Neil: W-w-who are you?

Dru jumps back from Neil stunned at what she just heard.

Dru: Say what now? You don’t know who I am?

Neil: No…..

189: Will Keemo Walk Away from Gloria!?

  Evening is becoming in Genoa City. As the sun sets and the moon rises, Gloria walks through Pleasant Yonders Memorial. She has a bouquet of white roses in her hand. She walks through the cemetery, looking at the tombstones until she comes upon a very tall tombstone. She walks over to it and lays her roses down next to the tombstone. She reads the inscription on the tombstone.

Passed: August 18^th 2006

Father, Husband and Friend

Gloria sheds a tear as she has memories of good times with her deceased ex-husband.

She begins to talk to his tombstone as if she’s talking to the man himself.

                “Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you my love. My one true love. You came into my life and changed it. You took me as I am flaws and all. I’m so sorry you are not here with me. I need you John, I need help. Your grandson Keemo wants to marry me. But if I tell him yes than I will feel as if I am betraying you. Your son Jack would never go for it anyway and I do not want to cause distension in your family again. Ashley and Jack put us through so much when we began to share our lives together. I do not want to do that again with Keemo and his father. But I love Keemo. He has really swept me off my feet. Took me out of a dark place I was in especially after losing my son Kevin at Sharon’s home coming party which was then bombed. Keemo is incredible and passionate. Kind of like you John. Oh please I just need you to tell me what I should do? I do not want to betray you. Show me a sign John.”

She takes her hand and kisses it and then presses her hand against the tombstone. She lowers her head and then walks away thinking of what she should do about Keemo.

Genoa City Athletic Club

Keemo who sits at the bar orders a drink. The bartender, Sergio hands him some scotch. Keemo takes a big swig and sets the glass down. Thoughts of Gloria’s indecisiveness run through his head. He wonders if Gloria will ever give him an answer.

                “Thinking of her aren’t you?”

Keemo hears behind him. He turns around and sees a smiling Jill. Keemo smiles back and extends his hand towards the seat next to him.

Jill: I think we should grab a table and grab some food. It looks like you could use a friend and a hot meal.

Keemo: Do I look that bad?

Jill: Not for much longer.

Jill grabs his hand and pulls him over to a table.

Gina’s Italian Bistro

Abby walks up to Victor and gives him a hug. Victor smiles at his youngest daughter.

Abby: Dad your out of jail when did this happen?

Victor: A few days ago.

Abby: Why didn’t you call me?

Victor: I wanted to surprise everyone.

Abby: Are you back at the ranch?

Victor: Let’s not talk about the ranch darling. It’s good to see you. Where is your mother?

Abby: Mom’s in Japan running Jabot Asia. She wanted out of Genoa City after Tucker hurt her.

Victor: Tucker McCall… He was trying to take out his mother Katherine.

Abby: But died the same night Katherine did.

Victor: Tucker McCall.

Abby: What about him?

Victor: Murphy came to me while I was in prison and warned me that Tucker was out to get Katherine and also told me Jack was in on it too.

Abby: Dad, my uncle Jack would never partake in going against Katherine.

Victor: You’d be surprised what your dad is capable of these days.

Abby: What does that mean?

Victor: It means I am going to destroy that jack ass uncle of yours.

Abby: Another war between you two?

Victor: I didn’t start this one. Your uncle did. Go and ask him what he did this time. I have no choice but to respond to this non sense.

Abby: I’ll go talk to Uncle Jack, maybe settle this whole thing down.

Victor: Wrong my dear, the only thing going down is Jack ass Abbott. This will be the last battle. I’ve had it with Jack.

Abby: I’m gonna call mom too maybe she can help.

Victor: Tell your mother Victor says hello.

Abby gives her dad a hug as Gina comes over to greet Victor. Abby walks over back to her table with Devon.

Gina: Victor Newman, it is good to see you.

Victor smiles broadly.

Victor: It’s good to see you too, you’re looking charming.

He leans in and gives her a peck on the cheek.

Gina: I have a full house tonight but I can make room for you.

Victor: Thank you kindly Gina. People seem to have forgotten who I am these days.

Gina: Not me Vic. Right this way.

Gina walks Victor to his table but they pass up Lauren and Nick’s table. Victor stops and is amused.

Victor: What do we have here? My son with Lauren Fenmore.

Nick: Don’t start.

Victor: Non sense my boy. I like the sight of this. Lauren and Nick.

Lauren rolls her eyes as Nick takes a sip of his wine looking and feeling very uncomfortable.

Phyllis and Daniel’s table

Daniel and Phyllis are looking over their menus.

Daniel: Mom did you really have to make a scene over Nick and Lauren?

Phyllis: I didn’t make a scene. I have a right to know who the father of my child is dating.

Daniel: It just really sounded like you are bitter about Nick moving on with Lauren.

Phyllis: Lauren is my friend and she’s married to my best friend. Or what used to be my best friend.

Daniel: So what is this information you have on Michael and Sheila?

Phyllis: It’s major Daniel. I don’t know what to do with it. I just know Michael Baldwin  is not the same man. He’s betrayed his whole family.

Daniel: Mom tell me what did he do?

Phyllis: I can’t right now. I’m saving it.

Daniel: For what?

Phyllis: You never know when it will come in handy.

Daniel: Like this relaunch of Restless Style?

Phyllis: That could be it. This secret I guess you can call it, will sell out worldwide. It will rock Lauren.

Daniel: Is it going to hurt Lauren?

Phyllis: It seems Lauren doesn’t care about my being hurt by her having dinner with my ex-husband.

Daniel: Mom you did sleep with Ronan. That ended your marriage.

Phyllis: And Sharon…

Daniel: She is dead. Don’t say anything mean.

Phyllis: Oh I won’t.

Daniel: So when did you decide to get back into media publishing?

Phyllis: A few weeks ago. I miss the beat of it.

Daniel: Are you going to cover Drucilla’s return.

Phyllis: I most definitely am. I have a huge scoop on Dru.

Daniel: What do you mean?

Phyllis: If Dru doesn’t watch her step, let’s just say she may really come to regret it. I am not going to let her spread these lies about me pushing her off the cliff. She was clumsy and fell. I had nothing to do with it. I’m telling you Daniel, this relaunch issue is really going to put me on the map. I know so many things about a lot of people and I’m going to expose it all. So much info has fallen into my lap.

Daniel: I don’t like the sound of this mom.

Phyllis looks over and sees Victor walking away from Nick and Lauren’s table.

Phyllis: Well look at who is out of jail. Another story I’ll have to cover.

Daniel look Phyllis’ way and sees Victor being seated by Gina at a table.

Victor’s table

Victor: I don’t need a menu tonight Gina. I want a t bone, medium  rare.

Gina: Still a man who knows what he wants. You haven’t lost your touch Victor.

Victor: I would also like the chef to serve the steak to me themselves.

Gina: You got it. I’ll go take care of that for you.

Victor gleams as he looks around. He begins to frown somewhat as he sees Phyllis stomping over towards his table. She plops into a seat.

Phyllis: It’s good to see you Victor. When were you released from prison?

Victor looks at Phyllis. He smiles at her and leans back in his chair. He takes a sip of wine that a waiter has brought to him.

Victor: What is this all about Phyllis? You don’t care about my freedom.

Phyllis: No but I do wonder why your last name is no longer on the tallest building in down town Genoa City any more. I got a scoop and some pictures with men taking down the name Newman.

Victor: Do you now?

Phyllis: Yea Vic give me the scoop. Give us something to talk about for my relaunch of Restless Style.

Victor continues to smile at Phyllis.

Phyllis: Genoa City wants to know, now that Victor is out of jail, what is he going to do?

Victor: Did you see Lauren and Nick together over there?

Phyllis: Yea I did and-…

Victor: Why don’t you get the scoop on that?

Phyllis: You must know more than I do about Nick and Lauren.

Victor: Like you said, I was just released from prison and playing catch up. I like what I see in Nick and Lauren.

Phyllis: Oh gag me Victor Newman. You’re deflecting big time and I am going to get down to the bottom of why your last name came down from your office tower. And then I’m going to put it in Restless Style.

Victor: Enjoy your evening Phyllis.

Phyllis: Bastard!

Phyllis gets up and storms back to her table.

In the kitchen, 

Gina walks in. She sees Spencer cooking and preparing meals. She smiles and walks over to him.

Gina: You’re doing a great job keeping up Spencer with the volume tonight. We have a full house.

Spencer: Thank you.

Gina: Table 71 wants a t bone medium rare served by the chef.

Spencer looks at Gina and smiles.

Spencer: Must be some one big out there.

Gina: It is.

Spencer: It’ll be my pleasure.

Jill and Keemo sit at a table.

Jill: So what happened this time with Gloria?

Keemo: She still doesn’t know if she wants to be with me.

Jill: Because of John?

Keemo: Yes because of my granddad who is no longer of this earth. I mean after all this time she still doesn’t have an answer for me. I proposed to her months ago. And still I wait. I’m sick of waiting. I want a wife and maybe even a family of my own. I want a lady by my side and it just seems Gloria is not willing or able to be that lady.

Jill: Sounds like you are giving up on Gloria?

Keemo: I’m starting to think that. She has no idea what she wants and I do. I’m a man who always knows what he wants.

Jill: Impressive. It’s too bad we never gave “us” a shot.

Keemo: Us… You know Jill, I have thought of us. One thing I realize is that you and Gloria have one thing in common.

Jill: John Abbott.

Keemo: Yes. You also have a son with him. So my granddad would still be there.

Jill: Not at all. I’ve learned to let go. John was a great man but I’ve gotten over him a long time ago.

Keemo becomes more interested in the conversation.

Keemo: You seem to be a woman who always knows what she wants.

Jill: I do and I fight hard to get it.

Keemo: I’ll toast to that.

They take their glasses and clank them together as Gloria walks in and sees Keemo with Jill. She stops dead in her tracks and her eyes get big.

               

“This is the second time I’ve caught Keemo getting chummy with Jill. This time I’m going to find out why.” 

She walks over to Keemo and Jill’s table to find out what is going on.
