195: Lily Confronts Avery over her Affair with Cane!

Nina, Esther and Chance look at Karynn and her daughter Kitten in shock as they have just learned that Kitten slept with Garret, Karynn’s ex-husband slash step father to Kitten.

Nina steps into the center of this crowd.

Nina: This is too sensational. You’re trying to tell us, that Kitten is your daughter and Garret, your ex-husband slept with her?

Kitten: Meow.

Then Kitten purrs.

Garret: Good times right my pussy cat?

Karynn: Yes Nina. My slutty daughter was sleeping with my ex-husband. It wasn’t a onetime thing either. She was only 16 at the time.

Chance: That’s statutory rape!

Garrett: Not in Louisiana. I made a lot of money off Kitten.

Nina: You are one sick bastard. You are going to hell!

Chance: So Kitten was prostituting for you at the age of 16?

Kitten: It just sort of happen. Garret walked out the shower one day and his towel dropped. It was the first time I had ever seen a big black one.

Nina and Esther Scoffs.

Garrett smiles.

Nina: Kitten I really don’t get why you would hurt your mother like that. Especially when you were so young.

Chance: And you Mr. Garrett I ought to beat the hell outta you for taking advantage of a young girl like that.

Garrett: It wasn’t all me. Kitten was more than willing.

Karynn: This is what drove me to drink. This is where my bad habits come from. Drinking numbs the pain. I can forget the images of my dirty daughter and my leech of an ex-husband betraying me.

Esther walks over to Karynn and holds her.

Nina then looks at Kitten.

Nina: Why would you do that to your own mother? And you show no remorse.

Kitten: Who the hell are you? I don’t answer questions coming from you.

Nina: Oh God you are just like your mother.

Kitten: Except more attractive, and in my prime. I don’t look like old raggy over there. She looks like she smokes 13 packs of cigarettes a day.

Karynn looks at her daughter Kitten with rage in her eyes.

Karynn: I rather smoke my Virginia Slims then to be a 24 hour Wal Mart with my legs, which are open all night. By the way, how was black Friday for you? Did you give deals on your nasty box on Cyber Monday as well?

Kitten walks up to Karynn and slaps her. Karynn slaps her back.

Kitten: You old Bitch!

Karynn: Dirty Whore!

They continue to slap one another.

Dru takes a sip of her drink as she looks at Spencer. As she tilts her head back to take her drink she realizes she may have had one too many. She’s now feeling woozy. She looks into Spencer’s eyes and begins to go down a trip, a road in particular to a street called Memory Lane. Dru remembers, in her freshman year of high school how Spencer took her virginity and how magical it was. He did everything right, movies, dinner, and wine coolers in his parent’s basement. The pain at first then the joy and sweet pleasure of love making. Then images of memories from other times they made love flash through her mind. Dru then comes to one conclusion. Spencer knows how to move in the bedroom.

Spencer: We need this Dru. For old time’s sake. Let’s dance to our groove and relive some memories. Neil can’t walk, he has amnesia and he wants to be with Leslie.  So be with me Dru, take this dance with me.

He extends his hand out.

Dru is moving and grooving to the tune in her chair as the liquor makes her feel good.

Spencer: I see you’re feeling it, let’s be close Dru. For old time’s sake.

Dru looks at him and smiles.

Dru: I’ve had a good time here with you Spencer. It’s been even better catching up with you. I’m a married woman and I am going to fight for my family. I haven’t seen you in many years and you have a child with Leslie. How do I know this is not some sort of set up?

Spencer: A set up what? Dru really?

Dru: You trying a little bit too hard tonight. Saying all the right things. I just don’t like it. Something doesn’t feel right at all.

Dru pulls out her phone and orders a taxi through uber.

Dru: Good night Spencer.

As she gets up, a little wobbly but she regains her composure she leans down and kisses Spencer on the cheek and walks out.

Spencer finishes his drink

Spencer: Damn it. Another rejection. First Leslie and then Dru. Must be something wrong with me. Neil can’t even walk yet he has two beautiful women fighting over him. I don’t get it. Another night of using my stroker I guess.

GC Memorial Hospital

Lily rushes inside, feeling anger, hopelessness, despair and betrayal all at the same time. She is looking for Avery’s room. She spots Avery’s name on the wall and she rushes over to enter the room. She slams the door behind her. She looks at Avery almost like a cheetah salivating over her next prey and meal

Avery sits up, startled out of her nap.

Avery: Who’s there?

Lily looks at Avery and wonders how could Cane sleep with her and do drugs, ignoring their family. Thinking of her dad, his amnesia and him being a paraplegic, Cane’s death, his drug abuse and now affair with Avery, like a wild safari cat about to attack their prey Lily flies on top of Avery and begins to choke her. Lily pins Avery’s arms down by using her knees pressed on her arms to restrain her as she sits on top of her. Lily then to windmill Avery’s face.

Lily: What kind of woman are you? Cane and I had kids. You crack whore!  

Avery realizes who it is.

Avery: Lily please you’re hurting me! This isn’t fair I’m blind. You’re attacking a blind woman!

Lily goes back to choking Avery.

Lily: I don’t care! You didn’t care when you were snorting drugs and seducing my husband why should I care now?

Avery’s face begin to turn red as she tries to gasp for air.

Lily tightens her grip, taking out all her frustrations on Avery for all the tribulations going on in her life at the moment.

Lily: If I can’t kill Cane then I’m going to kill you for what you did to my children you rotten crack whore!

Meanwhile Daniel rushes in the hospital looking for Lily.

Daniel: Please tell me she’s not in my Aunt Avery’s room.

Daniel closes his eyes and prays Lily is not in Avery’s room.

As Daniel walks towards Avery room a woman calls out to him.

                “Hey Danny Boy!”

Daniel recognizes the voice and is very disappointed, realizing who it is as he turns around.

He sees a smiling Daisy walking towards him.

Daniel: Damn!

Chicago

Chance walks over towards Kitten and pulls her away from Karynn.

Kitten: Keep your damn hands off me. You’re a terrible mother.

Karynn: And I wish had a better daughter.

Nina: This has to stop.

Garrett: You won’t be able to stop them. This is what they do.

Kitten: Well the old dinosaur started with me. I was here minding my own business until she came in and assaulted me. I’m only trying to do my job which by the way-

Karynn: Your job is sleeping with men. My ex-husband was one of them and you had no remorse after wards.

Chance looks at Garrett.

Chance: Did you really do this?

Garrett: I don’t like you and I am not going to answer any questions from you.

Chance: I served in the military. Show me a little respect.

Garrett: And I served in the streets. Keeping white women happy. You keep messing with me I might have to add your mother to my list.

Chance snaps grabs Garret and pins him up against the wall.

Chance: Don’t you ever speak about my mother that way!

Nina: Chance please let him go this is a nursing home we made quite a scene already.

Garret and Chance look into each other’s eyes. Garret smirks at him as Chance has a fire raging in his eyes. Chance releases Garrett but not before a cold sucker punch. Garrett is knocked down to the ground.

Garret: Ah! Either you’re a racist or you have anger issues.

Chance: Racist? You’re the one always talking about white woman. You’re no type of man.

Karynn: A pig. Like my daughter here. What are the odds of running into you here?

Kitten: I live and work here in Chicago.

Karynn: You and Garrett?

Kitten: Actually no. I had no idea Garrett was in Chicago. This is the first I’ve seen him in years. He was wearing the same suit he has on now as he did the last time I saw him to be exact.

Garrett: Classics never dies.

Karynn: When they get a bad odor they do.

Daniel looks at Daisy with disgust.

Daniel: What do you want Daisy? I’m in the middle of preventing a crime.

Daisy: Well if you are doing that then who is watching our daughter?

Daniel: My mom.

Daisy: I want to see my daughter. It should be me that is watching her. Not your bitter mother.

Daniel: I don’t have time for this Daisy. I’d rather have my bitter mother watch Lucy then a lunatic like you.

Daisy: I am not crazy.

Daniel: Isn’t your last name Carter?

Daisy: Proudly.

Daniel: That is nothing to be proud of. Your last name is synonymous with crime, tricks and schemes.

Look at what your own mother did. She held Sharon and Dru hostage.

Daisy: I had nothing to do with that. I had no idea all that was going on.

Daniel: Who’s really going to believe that?

Daisy: I am tired of being treated this way. I am trying to do the right things and live my life for our child.  I am not part of those evil schemes my mother or sister were a part of.

Daniel: You will never get custody of Lucy.

Daisy: What could be so important you left our daughter at home to be here? Nothing comes before Lucy in my world and Daniel like it or not one day we will all be a family.

Daniel: Like hell we will. You are crazy Daisy.

Daisy: Not crazy enough. And so in speaking of my sister, her name is Mary by the way. Is Mary the skank you had sex with the night when you stumbled into GC Nights with no pants on showing the world your good?

Daniel thinks of Daisy’s question. He has a flash back of sex with Vandalynn in the alley behind GC Nights.

Daniel: No. The chic I had sex with, I’m pretty sure she had blonde hair.

Daisy: Well my sister did too until she was brought in from the cabin fire.  Her hair was flashed dyed brunette. My gut tells me you two had sex and she’s now also with child. Did you get my sister pregnant Daniel? I promise you that will make me go crazy.

Back in Chicago

Nina: Ok I think this is enough. We are not getting anywhere and I’m ready to get back home.

Esther: She’s right.

Kitten: Well why did you come in the first place?

Karynn: To check in on my brother. Karl was brought here.

Kitten: Yes I know. He barely survived a house fire from my understanding. They say you burnt down some mansion while trying to grill hot dogs in a shopping cart over an open flame.

Karynn: I was hungry. Karl and I had to struggle to feed ourselves so that particular day I had one to  many beers and my natural instincts kicked in. Karl and I had to use many shopping carts to cook our food.

Kitten: After getting drunk I’m sure.

Karynn: I had a few drinks yes.

Kitten: Well that means you killed your own brother.

Karynn: What?

Kitten: You heard me. Your drunkenness killed Uncle Karl. I’ve have been trying to tell you but you insisted on being a batty old Bitch. You’re too late. Uncle Karl is dead. He passed on this morning.

Then two paramedics walk into the room with a gurney.

Kitten: They are here to take Karl’s body away.

Karynn: Oh no. Oh my god.

Karynn is confused. She is trying to block reality. She turns around and looks at Karl.

She runs over to him and grabs his hand. It’s cold.

Karynn: NO!!!! My brother NO!!!!! Karl Please you can’t do this! Don’t leave me Karl!

Nina covers her mouth in shock as tears form in her eyes. Chance grabs her as even a tear forms in his at this sad scene.

Karynn: Karl NO!!! I’m so sorry. This can’t be happening!!

Karynn realizes her brother is really dead. She lays her head on his chest and holds his hand. She keeps repeating “I’m sorry Karl. I love you”

Garret walks over to Karynn and puts his hand on her shoulder.

She looks up at him.

Karynn: My brother is really gone Garrett. And I killed him!

194:Lily Learns all about Cane’s Affair with Avery and other Deception(s)!

Midtown Genoa City, GC Nights

Dru and Spencer continue to sit at a table with their drinks and conversation which just became very interesting to Dru as Spencer tells her more about Leslie.

Dru: Oh hell no! What chu’ sey? Leslie is the mother of your daughter?

Spencer: Yes. I used to be a pimp.

Dru: You.. a pimp? I can definitely believe that. You always were a ladies man. You and your Mr. 3^rd leg talk.

Spencer: Oh it’s more than talk. You know I got it going on in the man hood department.

Dru: You do yes. You’ve been blessed. But my husband Neil can get with you.

Spencer: Well from what I’m hearing he can’t walk which means he has no legs.

 Dru: Alright now. You better watch your mouth about my husband. I love him.

Spencer: But you are here with me and he doesn’t remember you.

Dru: He’s just high off all them feel good drugs the hospital gave him. So back to the Leslie thing.

Spencer: The Leslie Thing?

Dru: Gone head and quit playing Spencer. Was Leslie one of your hoe’s? She did say she comes from the streets too.

Spencer: Yes. She tricked to pay for college. We also became very close and slept together a few times. Like any woman I’m with they can’t enough of my third leg.

Dru: Whatever Spencer. You can chill out on all this 3^rd leg talk. You too old to be talking like that.

Dru thinks of what Spencer just told her.

                “So Leslie was walking the track back in the day and Spencer has a daughter with her.  And she thinks she’s gonna take my husband away from me. I’m not gonna let a street walker get her claws into my husband. It’s just not gonna happen. And to think she came at me like she was better than me. All sophisticated and uppity. I knew it was all an act. Damn whore.”

Spencer: So you already came in contact with Leslie?

Dru: Yes and just like Phyllis and Sheila, she was about to get a Drucilla beat down. I’m a warrior out here. These bitches keep coming for me. All’s I wanna do is get my life back and be with my family. But then there are tramps like Leslie and Bitches like Phyllis who’s trying to stand in my way.

Spencer: Come on don’t talk about Leslie like that. She’s turned her life around.

Dru: Well she need to turn around from Neil cuz I’m not the one.

Spencer: I’m not here for drama I came to relax my mind.

Dru:  Yea yea ok. So Victor found out about your pimping past and your love child with Leslie and he blackmailed you with the info?

Spencer: Yes. To get me to drop the state’s case against him. I didn’t budge and he followed through with his threat. He exposed all things dirty at the ball last year. I’ve been trying to put my family back together ever since. And my life for that matter. I went from a district attorney to a cook now to being jobless all thanks to Victor Newman. He is going to pay. One day, one way he is going to pay.

Dru: Well I can tell ya, Victor is man not to be messed with.

Spencer takes a sip of his Hennessey.

Spencer: Enough about  Victor. I want to hear about you.

Dru smiles as she takes a sip of her drink.

Dru: Yea, what about me?

Spencer: Where have you been all this time? You falling off that cliff happened years ago. I know because when I came to GC to be the DA I looked over the case. So my only question is, where have you been all this time.

Dru: Everyone wants to know where Dru has been.

Episode 194: Lily Learns all about Cane’s Affair with Avery and other Deception(s)!

Downtown GC, Police Station

Lily with Daniel holding her walks into Paul’s office. Paul looks up from his desk and waves his hands towards the two chairs that sit in front of his desk.

Paul: Thank you for coming down here so late tonight.

Lily: You said you had news on my husband Cane?

Paul: I do. Is it ok that Daniel is here?

Lily: Yes. He’s helping me through everything. I don’t mind if he is here.

Daniel pulls Lily in closer next to him confirming in a way he is there for her. This makes Lily feel better and feel more prepared to hear whatever Paul has to tell her.

Paul: Well we can confirm that Cane was at Verdon Lou when Sheila’s cabin exploded. We found a few skeletal remains. Some other remains were that of James Warrick and that of Cane’s. We also found 2 different sets of unknown DNA. It’s hard to tell who was in that cabin. But we do know Sheila was there. We’ve found her DNA in the rubble from the cabin.

Daniel: Vandalynn was at the cabin. She was brought in along with the rest of the victims from Verdon Lou.

Paul: Vandalynn… Could very well be Mary Carter.  It’s not confirmed yet.

Daniel thinks back on the fact the he may have had sex with Sheila’s Carter’s daughter Mary.

Paul: Which leads me to believe Sheila Carter was in fact holding Dru and Sharon hostage and James probably arrived to save Sharon and Dru but Cane showed up, from a trap set by Sheila. A gas pipe ruptured in the basement. Cane looking for money for his coke habit answered an ad on GC help list and went over to the cabin to fix the gas leak for money.

Lily: I can’t believe what I am hearing. Sheila Carter held my mother hostage. I wonder how that even came to be.

Paul: A good question and I’m still working on it.

Lily: How about my twins. Any news on them?

Paul: There is no update. I’m so sorry Lily. But having said that I have been able to put the whole picture together on how the kids wound up missing.

Lily: I don’t understand how you could not have any leads on a set of twins. Someone somewhere must be buying extra diapers or baby formulas.

Paul: You’re right and we are tracking that type of info. It’s not easy to get some of these businesses to agree to let us check their security footage and not to mention this is a pretty big city so it takes time and man hours. I have to get a warrant from a judge to view security footages so I’m waiting on that now.

Lily wipes a tear from her face.

Lily: I’ll just have to find my children on my own.

Paul: Lily I know this is frustrating, but I think you need to hear me out for you make that kind of decision. This is a dangerous situation.

Lily: Dangerous!? Are my KIDS IN TROUBLE?

Chicago, Good Times LTC., Karl’s Room 

  Karynn and the red headed nurse’s aide continue to slap one another with more force with each slap as the pain begins to sting as both faces begin to turn red.

Garret: It sho’ looks like her.

Chance and Nina look at Garret.

Nina: I’m sorry did you say daughter?

Garrett: Yes, that’s Kitten, Karynn’s daughter.

Esther covers her mouth in shock and she walks over to Karynn and tries to grab her slap happy arm, as Chance takes this cue to grab the red headed nurse.

As they are pulled apart from one another they hurl insults at each other.

Karynn: Dirty Whore!

Kitten: Old Drunk

Karynn: Scully whag… Hussie

Kitten: Jealous old hag.

Nina looks on in shock as Karynn and her daughter exchange nasty insults.

Karynn: What in the hell are you doing here? Sleeping with the male patients and male staff you fukking whore?

Kitten: If I was surely that’s none of your business.

Karynn: How you are ever my spawn I will never know. I was cursed for giving birth to the nastiest woman that ever walked this planet.

Kitten: I can smell the alcohol you old drunken hag. You’re just jealous of me that many many men find me attractive.

Kitten says pushing up her bosoms’.

Karynn: Do you here what comes out that whore’s mouth?

Nina: Everyone calm down. There is no need to speak or act this way. Now Karynn calmly can you tell us who this woman is?

Karynn: A no morale’s slut.

Nina shakes her head in disbelief.

Kitten extends her had to shake with Nina’s as Nina grabs it and they shake.

Kitten: Yes it’s me, Kitten is the first name, yes like the cat. MEOW.

She then smiles at everyone, winks and then purrs.

Garret: That’s my little kitty kitty. That purr always drove me wild.

Kitten: This old drunk you call Karynn, yes this is my mother.

Karynn: Embarrassing.

Nina: Stunning.

Garret: A treat.

Garrett walks over towards Kitten with all smiles.

Karynn: Look at them, two pigs in a blanket.

Garret: You sho’ have filled out. Still my little kitty.

Kitten smiles at him as Garret takes one of her hands and lifts it up over her head so Kitten can twirl around to show all of her assets.

Chance: What the hell is going on here?

Karynn: Tell them pigs!!  Tell them how I walked in on you two having sex with each other!

Everyone’s mouth in the room drops.

Back at the Police Station

Daniel: Shh Lily hold on. Let Paul tell what us what he has too.

Lily: I’m sorry. I’m under so much stress. I have no idea where my mother is. I need her.

Daniel: I’m here for you.

He pulls her in and gives her a peck on the forehead.

Paul: Lily from what we can put together, Cane as you already know was snorting cocaine. But he was not alone in doing that.

Lily:  Not alone… I don’t understand…

Paul: We were able to recover Cane’s cell phone and though it was badly damaged from the fire I had a tech retrieve some text and voice mails.

Lily: Any clues on there?

Paul: Lily I’m sorry to be the one to tell you but it seems Cane was snorting cocaine with Avery Clark, They were having an affair.

Daniel and Lily mouths both drop in shock.

Daniel: I knew something was up with my Aunt Avery but I had no idea she was in this deep.

Paul: You knew about Avery’s drug problem?

Daniel: Only up until recently. I suspected something when I caught her with white stuff under and around her nose. She said she was baking muffins but it just didn’t fly with me.

Paul: Based on the text to Cane’s dealer, Cane sold your twins for drugs.

Lily:  If Cane were here I’d kill him myself. Well what about the person Cane was texting. Any info as to who it was?

Paul: No it was a burner phone.

Daniel: Cane and Avery…

Daniel says again in disbelief.

GC Nights

Dru looks at Spencer and smiles.

Dru: When Dru is ready to talk about her story, it will be my family I will tell first. I’m not ready to go there just yet. It was a lot going on. It’s crazy as I think back on it.

Spencer: You make it sound like it’s going to be a good book.

Dru: Well now that you mention it, it could be a story huh?

Spencer: I don’t know I haven’t heard any details yet.

Dru: Un huh. I know what you trying to do. It ain’t gonna work.

Spencer: Girl you have not changed one bit from our first year in high school. You were fiery then and you’re fiery now. Whatever did happen to you? You just upped and disappeared.

Dru: I dropped out of high school. I had issues with my family so I ran away to my aunt Mamie’s where she  worked for the Abbott family.

Spencer: Well you come a long way. I like the Abbotts. They are nothing like the Newmans.

Dru: What about you sir? How did Victor cause you to lose your job this time?

Spencer: That damned bastard. I was to serve a t bone steak to a table 72 and low and behold it was Victor’s table. It pissed me off that I had to serve this man a steak after what he did to me and my family. So you know like two men we had words and it became physical.

Dru chuckles.

Dru: You better leave that old man alone. Victor is getting up there.

Spencer: So Gina fired me.

Dru: Damned shame.

Dru takes a drink as does Spencer.

Tyler puts on a slow old school groove through the music system.

Spencer hears the song. “In the Mood” by The Whispers  playing.

Spencer looks at Dru and begins to dance a little.

Spencer: You remember this?

Dru: I do. I lost my virginity to you with this song. How could I forget?

Spencer: Let’s leave our troubles behind and dance. For old time’s sake. Let’s dance Dru.

He looks at her and smiles as he awaits an answer.

Dru looks at him with a half-smile, feeling a bit uncomfortable over the question. She wonders what she should do.

Spencer: Your husband doesn’t  remember   you and he chose to be with Leslie and my life is shitty right now. Come on Dru, we deserve this, let’s dance…

The only thing Dru can do is take a sip of her drink.

193: The Moment when Your Past Catches up to YOU!

Genoa City Memorial

Lily walks into Neil’s room.

Lily: Dad, Aunt Olivia says your awake now.

Lily pauses when she sees Leslie sitting on the bed with Neil. Leslie gets up and turns around to look at Lily. Neil looks confused at Lily as his heart rate increases.

Lily: Dad what’s going on? What’s wrong with him Leslie?

Leslie looks at Neil and can see he is starting to sweat and his heart rate is increasing.

Leslie: Neil, we are gonna give you some rest. I’ll send the doctor in here to give you something to help you sleep. It’s getting late and you been through a lot. 

She grabs his hand and squeezes.

Leslie grabs Lily and pulls her outside.

Lily: Leslie what just happened in there? Where is my mother?

Leslie: Lily I don’t know where your mother is. I’m sorry to be the one who has to tell you that Neil has amnesia from being shot.

Lily: How would he have amnesia, he was shot in the chest, not in the head.

Leslie: Emotional trauma has brought this on. He does not remember his past. Judging by his reaction he doesn’t know who you are. Neil had the same reaction with Dru.

Lily: So... wait my mother knows about this?

Leslie: Yes.

Lily: Can my life get any worse. I’m on a nonstop roller coaster ride.

Leslie: I’m so sorry Lily.

Lily: My kids have been sold for drugs thanks to my now deceased husband Cane and my father was shot in the chest by his own brother not to mention my cousin Nate switched Moses' paternity results from Malcom to Neil and now Moses is missing too. I can’t take much more.

Leslie: Your gonna have to be strong Lily. There is more.

Lily: You’re kidding me? It gets worse?

Leslie: Again I’m so sorry to tell you this. Neil is a paraplegic. He can’t walk nor feel his legs.

Lily gets weak at the knees and almost faints but Leslie catches her.

Leslie: Are you ok?

Lily: No I think I need to sit down. This is too much.

Leslie: It is but let’s be thankful your father is alive.

Lily: I don’t understand why my mother is not here or why she could not have told me any of this. She’s the one who dragged me out the house.

Leslie sits down with Lily.

Leslie: I don’t know. Your mother and I don’t see eye to eye.
Lily: Over my dad?

Leslie: Yes. Your dad remembers me but nothing else from his past. He doesn’t even know that Malcolm shot him. He refers to him as some strange man.

Lily breaks down and cries. Leslie holds her.

Leslie: Is there anything I can do Lily?

Lily: Yes, Ask God why is all of this happening to my family…

Tyler looks at Dru with a confusion on his face.

Tyler: That’s kinda random. You were presumed dead?

Dru takes a sip of her drink.

Dru: Yes but that is a story to talk about another time. I came here to get my mind off my life right now. Nothing is going right for me since I got back.

Tyler: Well let that drink be on the house. I hope things get better for you.

Dru: This free drink is certainly helping.

Then a man takes a seat next to Dru.

Tyler: What can I get for you man?

                “A glass of Hennessey.”

Upon hearing the man’s voice Dru realizes she recognizes it. She looks up and looks at the man. The man looks at her.

Dru: Say it ain’t so, Spencer Walsh is that you?

Spencer: Drucilla Barber. Still beautiful as ever.

Dru: It’s Winters now. I’m married these days.

Spencer: Good for you old friend.

They embrace.

Chicago, Ill

Golden Times Nursing home.

Karynn stumbling, leads her Genoa City crew, though tad drunken from the beer she just inhaled before walking into the care facility.

Nina whispers to Chance: Look at how’s she’s walking. This is embarrassing.

Chance: Mom please don’t start. We don’t need to get Karynn roused up. Despite her being drunk this is hard for her. Seeing her brother Karl.

Esther speeds up to walk beside Karynn and she grabs her hand so that Karynn can gain her balance.

Karynn looks at Esther and smiles.

Karynn: Thank you Essie. I couldn’t do this without you. You are a good friend. I just don’t know what I am going to find when I walk into his room. Karl is very sickly. I pray there will be something to have hope about with his condition.

Esther: Just keep the faith your sister Katherine would say. She’s with you Mrs. Sheppard. Walking on the other side of you.

Karynn sheds a tear and pulls Esther in for a hug.

Garrett: Well would you look at that. Karynn has finally cracked. My Kary still has a heart. Those beers get you emotional.

Karynn spins around and looks at Garret with content in her eyes.

Karynn: You always did know how to ruin a nice moment didn’t you sponge bob crusty pants?

Garrett: Not when we were making love.

Nina and Esther scoffs.

Karynn: Pig!

Garrett gives Karynn a wide smile flashing his pearly white teeth.

Karynn turns around toward the direction she was walking in. Esther points to room with Karl’s name on it.

A few nurse’s aide rush past the GC crowd and into Karl’s room.

Karynn takes a deep breath.

Karynn: What will I find inside my brother’s room?

She takes another deep breath and begins to enter her brother’s room.

Nina to Chance: She surely knows how to bring the dramatics. This is gut wrenching. Maybe Karynn really does have a heart.

Chance: I just hope Karl is ok.

Downtown GC, Police Headquarters

Lily stands outside as the wind blows fresh cool air from Canada. Lily shivers and buttons up her coat. She pulls out her cell phone to look at the time. She looks unto the well-lit parking lot.

Lily: Come on I need you!

She says as she becomes impatient. Then a car pulls up and parks next to her.

It’s Daniel. He gets out his car rushes toward Lily. They hug. Lily breaks down in tears.

Daniel: I got over here as soon as I could.

Lily: Thank you. I knew I could count on you.

He smiles at her as he wipes away her tears.

She smiles at him.

Lily: Where’s Lucy?

Daniel: Mom is watching her at the house.

Lily: I didn’t mean to pull you away from your daughter.

Daniel: It’s ok. It’s a good thing my mom is staying with me at the moment.

Lily: I wanted to apologize on behalf of my mother for what happened at the hospital the night she returned.

Daniel: You mean the fight your mom and my mom had.

Lily: Yes. Mom blames Phyllis for pushing her off that cliff. She swears by it.

Daniel: And my mother claims it was Dru being clumsy.

Lily: I was there at that photo shoot and I was not looking. I wish I had been. The only thing I saw after I heard my mom scream, was her arms wailing as she went flying over that cliff. I’ll never forget that sight or her screams.

Daniel remembers what his mother was telling him about Dru. Phyllis has something over Dru. Daniel has a distant look in his eyes. Lily takes notice.

Lily: Daniel what is it?

Daniel: Nothing let’s move past this. You called me down here to the police station does Paul have something on your missing twins?

Lily: No he said it was about Cane.

Daniel: Cane? I wonder what’s up.

Lily: I just couldn’t handle this by myself. I don’t know where mom is and I just learned my dad has amnesia and is a paraplegic. He doesn’t know who I am. He doesn’t know I’m his daughter.  I’m so lost right now Daniel.

She goes into a crying fit. Daniel pulls her into a tight embrace.

Back in Genoa City, GC Nights

Dru and Spencer pull out of their embrace.

Spencer: I thought I read you died falling over that cliff at the photo shoot.

Dru: No no no. I was pushed by the Bitch Phyllis Newman. Yea I went over that cliff. But I survived and    it’s been one hell of a journey to get back here.

Spencer: Whatever kind of hell you’ve been through you still are a diamond.

Dru: Well you know what they say, black doesn’t crack.

Spencer: Did you say your last name was Winters?

Dru: Yes. My husband is Neil Winters.

Spencer: Neil Winters is your husband?

Dru: Yes now what of it?

Spencer: Leslie is with Neil.

Dru: Leslie? You know Leslie?

Spencer: I take it you do too. Dru please tell me you didn’t attack Leslie. I know how you used to get down back in high school.

Dru: No I didn’t whoop her ass but if she don’t watch out I will. My husband has amnesia and doesn’t even know who I am. But he knows who Les is. Crime shame. I fought all this way and time to reunite with my family only to have my husband not know who I am.

Dru takes a drink.

Spencer: So what brings you here tonight?

Dru: I had to get my mind of my so called husband and your Leslie. It hurts knowing my husband prefers Leslie to me. We have a family together.

Spencer: I would be too. Life comes at you and smacks you in the face sometimes.

Dru: I know right. What brought you here tonight and what have you been doing with yourself? Better yet how do you know Miss Leslie?

Spencer: I got fired from my job tonight thanks yet again to that old ass Victor Newman.

He says in disappointment and takes another drink.

Dru: Victor Newman. I look forward in seeing him. You don’t mess with Victor Newman that is one thing I know.

Spencer: Victor can’t get away with what he’s done to me. He will pay one day, somehow.

Dru: What did he do to you?

Spencer: He tried to black mail into dropping the state’s case against him with information on my family.

Dru: Your family? Oh you’re married?

Spencer: No nothing like that. He exposed the fact that Leslie and I used to be involved and we have a daughter, Roxanne.

Dru: Oh hell naw. What chu’ sey’? You and Leslie used to be involved and you have a daughter? Yes I need to hear about the goods on Miss Leslie.

Dru orders another drink and looks at Spencer waiting to hear more about his baby’s momma Leslie.

Going to Chicago, Golden Times LTC

Karynn with Esther by her side walks into Karl’s room. There on two nurses aids on his right fixing his covers and a red head nurse aid catches Karynn’s attention as the Chancellor family pile into the room.

Karynn looks at the red headed nurse’s aid, who stands out from the other two nurse aids. She’s wearing a low cut, work top with the shoulders cut out and v cut going down her cleavage exposes a lot. The red head is wearing bring red lips stick. She assists positioning Karl into a comfortable position in the bed.

Karynn: It’s can’t be!

The red head looks up at Karynn.

                “No it’s can’t be you. My God no!”

Garret: Say it ain’t so. Kitten is that you?

Nina and Chance look at each other in confusion.

Esther: Did he just say kitten? I’m allergic to cats Miss. Shepard.

Karynn storms up to the red head “Kitten” and slaps her in the face.

Red Head: How dare you?

The read head slaps her back.

Karynn: You don’t hit your mother you dirty whore!

Karynn slaps Kitten again.

Chance: Karynn just said she was her mother?

Garret: Yes lawd. That’s Karynn’s daughter Kitten.

Nina: But they are slapping each other around.

Chance: What the hell is going on?

Garrett: Get ready, this is only the beginning.

Esther, Nina Chance, and Garret all continue to look on in shock as Karynn and her daughter Kitten continue to slap one another across the face, clearly no love lost here.
